Drugs is overrated - tired of everyone connecting great riders with drugs - yes some of them do use drugs and do stupid sh*t to get busted. We should enjoy the RACE and let the organisers keep on doing what they are doing to stop the cheating!!

 

Other sports should start and test their players like Rugby - its amazing how big these guys get in a small amount of time!!

Hey thanx for all the replies, but non of u guys aggree on any tire?? There must be something out there that is more common.

 

Continental Moutain King looks great - it has done the Epic. Like Kenda Karma but think its more for the mud.

 

The kind of terrain I ride is different - Normal Karroo style bos and some mud and slippery terrain in and arround Cape Town/Stellenbosch.

 

Planning to do the Transbaviaans with friends...

Any thoughts...  tire wise

Hey, I know of a lot of cycle shops one can get your bike set-up, but I have heard of this guy that only does bike setups and by the sound of it he is really good.

 

Somewhere in CT. Will try and find out what the guys name is, but if anyone may know who I am talking about plz let me know. I think he does the setup of some of the teams at the Giro de Capo as well.

 

Heard that he sets up everything to tiny detail and then afterwards hand you a self setup guide for home use if you need to adjust something on a new component of your bike.

Look on the side of the tire - should be a recommended min and max. Play arround until you find the right one. Start in the middle let say 4.5 bar.

Not the most fun you can have, but hey rain in the cape is cold in winter and the damm taxis and cars..

A go for a run once in a while but that is hard work, gets better though.

 

Thanx for the help this far.  Rollers is about R1800 !! and you don't really train on them - was made for warmup before races or track cycling.

 

Trainer VS Roller ???? Rollers may be more fun but they don't add resistance.
