  1. Thanks David, will sure do! Sure wish Shimano would have done the same for my ruined STI !! What the hell, just have to search hub for new one.. good axcuse to upgrade
  2. So yesterday I start again in one of the later bunches and feeling great I get into a bunch that is moving at a good pace. We are just outside Wellington on a flat section of the course where we could realy make up good time before we get the climb outside Riebeeck Kasteel towards Malmesbury, when STUPIDITY wins the day! A rider that obviously do not even know even the basics, flicks the front guy in the bunch to pass him, then wanting us to pass him on the inside moves to the right and practically stops!! Needless to say 5 of us goes down at +- 42kmph. My Helmet again saved my life! Thanks Bell! Not the most expensive helmet out there, but boy it worked! Body flippen sore today but luckally no fractures <?: prefix = v ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:vml" /> <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />Thanks Bell!My sincere hope is that someone will do something about educating stupid @#%$$ like this. Holy smokes, how difficult is it to keep left and pass right!!
  3. Lekker bike! You will love it, nice and comfy ride
  4. Nice one Speedi! You have PM
  5. I shhhmaakit stukkend.. very "blades of glory"
  6. I have a Felt with, 9 speed Tiagra shifters, front derailer and 105 BD, The crankwheels are the triple type 50.39.30. My question is: would it benefit me to upgrade from this because I never use the small ring. I am getting reasonably fit and is starting to average +_30kmph on 60km+ rides. I love the bike because the geometry is relaxed with a 73dgree seat angle. The bike is a 61cm. Thanks Folks!
  7. I know for a fact that its not your shoe! It would happen with any shoe. I had the same problem and went to see a pediatrist, new orthotics(insets) and problem solved!! Mine was also just one foot and its called 'Mulders click'. If it feels like a hot pain in those little bones hehind the ball of your feet, thats it! The little bump on the insoles someone else referred to previously relieves the pressure also without specific orthotics
  8. Anyone have experience of Mtb on plane? Mate of mine reckon that I should just bubblewrap the parts that could get hurt like rear der but to keep bike open, reasoning being that if the bike is in box or bag, it gets handled like shyte. Any recommendations?
  9. First time I ever watched full stages of TDF this week, got flu.. and as a novice in the sport I can say only this; It was the most exiting and involved action I have seen in a long long time! No matter what the hype about who was left out and all the drugs, I loved every minute of it and in my mind John Lee an Robbie are now the top atheletes this country posess! Vive Le Tour

  12. Hagar, What have u upgrded on your bike, What would you say is the more important things/componants to look at when your starting to get serious on the mtb?
