  1. for DB and BTW RacerX love the new avatar
  2. Dirtbreath not always necessary to go to that extreme. a simple squirt of an aerosol lube like Q20 or WD40 is sufficient and maybe go to the extreme with removing cables from housings once every 2months or after extreme muddy rides
  3. Now you see guys to me its not just bout making money but to give each and every cyclist the opportunity to afford top quility so there is certain of my products i dont push and cables are one of them I know what ist like to drool over all the bike bling on the market believe you me
  4. Havnt found any disc hubs that wide yet HR so i will have to have one made up
  5. Dude if you had a look at my prices you would know im not here to just sell my stuff at maximum profit as is the norm in SA!! Im also here to look after the interest of all cyclists as equals as not everyone can afford to spend mega bucks on their bikes!!! Alot of the guys here value and treasure their "cheaper" machines just as others Value their MEGA BLING machines if not more!!! So if you can Afford my I-link cable set @ R850 then put your money where your mouth is
  6. Well i would suggest to just squirt some lube into the housing once a week if you are near the coast but seeing as you are in Gauteng clean them regularly after rides and in dry conditions some lube every 2nd week should be fine, more often in muddy conditions as we have in winter down here in CPT TokenFreak2008-07-20 07:45:33
  7. I know Was just merely trying to make a point on behalf of the cyclists on here racing on a budget. Its really fine if you want to use cheaper cables and dont worry bout the BLING factor
  8. My personal opinion is to stick with the cables you know and have used until now if you are happy with their operation. Remember that all the fancy names for these cable sets are just gimmicks and offer some BLING for your bike. It all boils down to maintanance. If you clean and lube your cables on a regular basis a R10 cable will give you just as well a shift as a R100 cable....
  9. LoL the weight you will throw off by fitting the Spinner fork will be more than enough
  10. Thats great news man! Glad you are happy with it. Will check out the bike next week when i come and see you at your shop... Maybe i will bring you the 1.25Kg Spinner fork to test on your shiny new Schwinn
  11. How did the Schwinn perform today WW?
  12. Haha when ur a brand freak like i am Rob umm what can i say
  13. It is Token's I Link Cable Set model nr TK-IK7230. If you buy a full Acurra Grouppo that is included
  14. Dont fool yourself that paint on a frame is heavy Rob. Remember the paint gets sprayed on and not brushed on so it is only a couple of microns thick to say the least. Take a raw frame and weigh it before and after spraying it and you will see you cant even tell the differance on a scale ...
  15. Haha now thats the question hey Andre. Why dont you take 2 sets? 1 in black and 1 in bling red
  16. I agree with Johan that spraying your bike is by far the best bet. You are also not limited to just a few basic colours. There is a whole spectrum of colours, shades and design out there and it really aint expensive. So go the paint route people!!!!
  17. Hmmm now that sounds like business
  18. Thats cool Rob but the rear wheel aint nearly fat enough
  19. Will see what i can dig out this side Rob
