  1. Sarcasm is really a great thing hahahaha
  2. There is no ego involved here on my side. I am a qualified spraypainter by trade and have worked on many bicycles frames over the last couple of years. And believe me that branding is painted on. (Some shop(wont name names) sells bicycles with paper decals sprayed over with clearcoat). I was merely giving my opinion. I have also used the water transfer decals on some bikes aswell as vinyl decals (that i make myself as i also do signage) but of all the types of recon jobs the airbrush method with vinal stencils work the best. The paint can not penetrate the frame that is why the surface needs to be scuffed for the paint to stick. If that was not the case and the paint DID penetrate the frame WHY will the paint then flake or peel if it hasnt been scuffed. To reffer back to Johan's comment about soaking the part in solvents, that is not a good idea because through the whole process of respraying a frame is it at all subjected to such an environment such as soaking or paint stripper!!!! That would be just dumb!! Go so a test on your car and leave a thinners soaked rag on it over night and see what the result would be in the morning!!!! Wouldnt advise this tho neither soaking your bike.
  3. so i guess none of the carbon bikes or parts on the market are clearlcoated after branding has been done on them??
  4. Nothing cheap about that frame Jan. The only differance is my profit margins aint as big as what they CAN be. Nuff said. Will not get into a battle here, was merely sharing what i have to offer. Unfortuanately i dont have the capital to compete with you big boys of the business.
  5. I use vinyl stencils and an airbrush for the actual branding and then 2k clearcoat over that. Give me a PM if you need help
  6. Very nice BL!! Dudes forget about the name and just appreciate the quality! At the end of the day if the guy tells you it sa Avalanche then you all gona think ag no thats got to be a sh*t bike
  7. to myself for trying to do exactly what Major brands do with frames that comes mainly from the same manufacturers
  8. LOL it sure is difficult to get something like that off the ground Sean but i will eventually get there. All frames carry a 2year warranty and i definately wont associate with any fly by nights
  9. HAHAHAHA i could hey just dont have the funding to do so. Maybe you know of someone that would be in a position to fund something like this?
  10. Mampara i can supply them at R3950 but i need to place a minimum order of 50 to be able to do that. Not bad i think
  11. Doesnt the RM LTD hard tail look alot like this to you guys? Can get them unbranded at a bargain
  12. Hahahah nothing wrong with a "Kaapse Draai" Zoo cookie
  13. Yeah the cheaper ones are the ones spec'd on Acurra AX grouppo. Personally will go for the CX spec'd one and yes comes in red or black.
  14. Add 50 bucks on that price and you hit the sweet spot! And singletrack you knw what im keeping for you LOL
  15. Damn i remember having one of those myself way back in the days was a cool bike in its hey day
  16. You sure are WW. Should see you on Friday. Just intime for the weekend ride
  17. The Reason is an awesome piece of equipment and Turtlek below as i said to someone on here last night im not here to scrounge cash from anybody. I like to go the different route than the norm as most people go for Fox and RockShox etc why? Because of the name! I have been riding on Spinner for more than 3 years without any problem and have been their agent since Dec 2007 so as you can see ive been riding with their product much longer than im an agent. Reason for this is coz they have EXCELLENT aftermarket service! They replaced my shock with a leaky seal with a brand new one 10 times better than the one i had without asking questions and without taking the faulty one back
  18. I guess thats why they moved back to the manual lockout on the 2009 model but i must say that the SPUL Valve system works a treat once you have the air pressure set up correctly. PPWTF look at the site and see what you like and PM me for some prices.
  19. They were there at the show yes and no they were there as Spinner. and the idea is to sell them out of LBS yes. This years model works on the same principal as Fox Terralogic but we call it SPUL VALVE damping but 2009 model like on the website has a lockout twist knob with remote lockout option
  20. No they infact still manufacture forks for the major brands as mentioned earlier. They only desided a couple of years back to start their own Brandname aswell. They were previously called Insync Suspention. They never use to have aftermarket shocks like the bigger brands but only OE forks like you see on the entry level Bikes. Mainly the Spinner Grind etc. They were the first company to bring out a full XC race fork weighing in at 1.25KG's. Manitou now also have one. Where does the design come from? Aint it obvious? And again the product doesnt break your bank balance.
  21. Thats probably coz the rake on the fork fitted on the bike wasnt correct for the geometry of the bike. Had a similiar problem with a bike down here in CPT. That normally happens if you go for a fork with more travel than what the bike was designed for
  22. Fire away with your questions I am the South African Agent for Spinner
  23. well i will keep you updated on how mine is coming along HR aswell as the cost involved. Wont be that expensive as i will be doing most of the work myself.
  24. So what do you say HR, you wana order one of these?
