It's really funny to see how people view the Cape! Besides drivers not adhering to the "Keep Left Pass Right" rule, drivers are actually pretty chilled here compared to Jo'burg. I've not encountered a single incident here. On the other hand I was abused almost daily on Gauteng roads. I think with regards to the OP's post, there are ALWAYS 2 sides to a story. I'll bet he had some self righteous vitriol to spew at the cyclist, and instead of minding his own business, chose to be a hero, but with zero follow through. If it meant so much to the saintly driver he should have chased the cyclist down, performed a citizen's arrest for the crime he'd just witnessed, detained the cyclist, called the police and then watched as they rolled on the floor with laughter. What is "the Clio brigade" by the way? I'm not following there?

I assume then that if a loved one takes ill, or becomes depressed, you'd be happy to sit by and adhere to Darwin's "fittest will survive" ideas then? Sure, on one hand the planet is hugely overpopulated because of many factors, one of them being modern medicine, but I pray for your sake you never are faced with the decision to switch someone off, or watch a friend die of cancer.

Priceless, a post from the legend himself! Love his joke there as well. You guys take this stuff too seriously. Especially the xc boys and girls. The lengths you all go to shave off a gram to make up a second or two makes me smile. The amount of times we see riders with poor technique floundering down a technical sections. You'd not need that carbon bike at all if you just took the time to become better and faster where it counts. Anyone can ride a jeeptrack. The time you'd gain from mastering the hard stuff will give you far more edge. For me there is no fun to be had on a 29er. The bike loses that jumpy, flicky feeling that I love. Sure, if I rode long Karoo jeeptracks I'd take the 29er without a doubt, but my mates and I don't care for that at all. Just go ride your bike who cares. If guys want to buy a second or third bike thats cool. It stimulates the whole industry. Nobody's forcing you to ride one. It's apples vs oranges really. Greg just rode the bike he had on the day, and had a blast.
