  1. I have the Stage Max and love it. it is comfortable on long rides, climbs and descends well (got a 140mm on the front) and the two water bottle holders are VERY useful.
  2. I have got the trial pedals and I am really enjoying them. I got them because they spread the weight a bit more and it helped me with my sore feet.

100%. Was also stuck behind the Red Ants. For day 1 and 3 I could handle them all starting in D batch but for Day 2 you need to seed based on time. It also could not be fun for them because I heard a few comments passed when we finally got past them.

I found a work around but it takes time. You have to use Garmin Express and import the .tcx files as an activity. Then convert it to a course and make sure you untick "stay on road" and tick "km markers". You can then send them to your device. That's the easy part. The difficult part is Garmin Express does not recognise the supplied .tcx files so you have to create them yourself by converting the .gpx files to .tcx files using a tcx converter. I used http://tcx-converter.software.informer.com/download/.
  6. I recently got the Kickr and it is great. The integration with things like Kinomaps is cool. You just need decent ADSL speeds for the video feed. The Kickr app works well on both Apple and Android. I run my heart rate monitor using Ant+ and the Kickr on Bluetooth and there are no issues with the apps. I also got the 142x12 adaptor so I could use my MTB (the only bike I have) with the Kickr and there were no issues there at all.

    Wahoo Kickr

Hi guys I am looking at getting an indoor trainer that can fit my MTB. I like the idea of removing the back wheels and connecting directly onto the system. I also want to have the ability to connect to the web and do virtual racing, sufferfest etc. I have looked online and the Wahoo Kickr looks like a good option because it does all of the above and also has a 142x12 adaptor for my MTB. Does anyone know where I can get one from and any advice is greatly appreciated? cheers
  8. Well at least we know the big climb just got worse with the rain forecasted . As if it wasn't hard enough already.
  9. Who out there is riding the race this weekend? Going to be taking some strain on the day
  10. There was quite a bit of rain leading up to the race and part of the route became an issue with mud etc. It is at the end of Feb/beginning of March so the days are nice (25) and the evening gets cooler (18).
  11. I have done two and last year they cut it short by about 30km due to bad weather. It was still fun but a little disappointing not to break the 200km mark. The big climb after check point 5 is nice!!!
  12. Does anyone know if Di2 would work with a 2x10 or is it just for 11 speeds?
