  1. Are there any saddle designs available specifically for ladies? Currently I have the Fizik Gobi.
  2. Is Yellow Saddle an accredited service center for shocks and will it effect your warranty? I have asked this in a topic I created earlier and I'm quite keen to get in contact with them when I have all the information available to attend a course on maintenance/servicing and wheel building.
  3. Is Johan the owner of the shop and is that where my shock went as it is an approved/accredited service centers for rockshox and fox? Does it really have to be an approved/accredited service center so that I don't void any warranties on the shock as mine is less than a year old? I also read up on the wheel building course you can attend at Yellow Saddle, didn't know you can build your own wheels! I will also need to get my rear wheel looked at. Oh, well, my new years' resolution is taking shape These days people can be so abrupt on the phone, I would rather find out as much as I can on the hub before I contact them and ask too many silly questions.
  4. Does Yellow Saddle service/workshop all makes of shocks? Saturday morning I went and looked at 29ers. The one I'm interested in buying has the Rockshox front fork. I'm seriously considering buying myself an early Christmas present. I did not know cycling can be so addictive!
  5. Do any of the manufacturers e.g. SRAM, Shimano, Fox or Mavic offer any local workshops? Do you get a certificate after completing a course? I'm asking as I had my shock serviced at a bike shop who sent it somewhere to have it serviced. I asked them where they sent it to as I was under the impression they service it themselves and they said it went to an accredited service center. I have Mavic wheels and yesterday the rear wheel started making a terrible noise when riding down a hill at the 94.7 mtb race. Now this made me think, will the shop send the wheels to Mavic to get it fixed and how long will this take?
  6. That was fast! Thank you, I will have a look.
  7. I hope I'm posting this in the correct section. I am new to posting on forums and I don't know where to start and introduce myself. After some thought I decided to create my first topic. I joined the Hub to communicate with like minded individuals who are passionate about cycling. Reading many of the posts and using the search facility is a bit overwhelming. Hopefully I will get into the swing of things in no time at all. Now getting back to the question/s I have: Which bicycle shops offer workshops for bicycle care e.g. basic tools to buy and how to service gears, setting gears, where to look at the chain for wear, how to remove the crank and bottom bracket and cleaning and greasing it, servicing the front shock - I have the Fox with the RLC letters. Note: None of the many shops I have contacted offer any workshops. Thanks in advance.
