Hi there My husband and I are looknig at tandem bikes after he had to push me up suikerbossie! We are both mediums.... would we fit on a medium/small tandem as it appears they only come in these combo's, or would a large/medium be better? Any advice welcome!

I thought that the Argus was traditionally a charity event, with the proceeds being split between PPA and Rotary. I was always under the impression that there wasn't any prize money because it was a charity event.

Does anyone use the speedplay pedals for road bikes? Just wondering what they are like and if they are worth their price tag... Are there any advantages/disadvantages over a normal pedal? I haven't seen too many of them around...

I also warn against Mango. Packaged the bikes nicely in boxes and paid R150 to fly them and they were in a horrible condition on the other side. Luckily no real damage to bikes but the boxes were a state! Heaven knows what they do with them! Oh and the irony was that on that flight they were advertising flying with bikes in the in-flight mag and actually ENCOURAGING passengers to do so! What a cheek!

I'm sure this topic has been covered before but can anyone suggest a good, bright rear bike light? The ones in my lbs don't seem to impressive, and with all the recent ct road deaths I would like to be as visable as possible! Thanks!

I'm fairly new to road racing and have been doing some of the recent PPA races. I start very near the back but want to move up soon... I was wondering if anyone could give me a few tips on group etiquette coz I've seen some waving and butt-slapping and I'm not quite sure what it all means! Also some riders come whizzing up on the right-hand side of groups and I'm sure thats not right! Some basic tips would be appreciated!
