  1. this is terrible news...
  2. logwood closing would be the biggest tradegy ever. i cant believe people think its too far and a 'playground'!! you'll probably find the same people who reckon northern farms is bedda for training climbing off their bikes to carry their bike down the stuff others wanna ride in races, forcing us to walk too. every mountain biker should clock in miles at logwood to improve their technical skills and confidence and we'll see alot more flowing action in events, hence a helluva lot more fun being had. we live in the city and are blessed to have a place like logwood so close, gees i couldn't imagine being a mtb'er without it. the problem is not a place like logwood being too far, its that more places like it need to be everywhere so drop offs and obstacles are seen as a challenge out there and not reasons to unclip and walk...
  3. This is like comparing rugby teams but not including da All Blacks or Boks...what kind of a poll is this without Santa Cruz....?
  4. looks awesome man! was chatting bout ya to my mate on da way back from da dirty dbl last weekend n' he was tellin' me bout ya n' your bikes with no suspension...interestin'....cant wait to get my new light too ya busy with it now, those things are da sickest lights ever!
  5. my mate n' myself booked a four day trip to mankele a couple weeks back n' lemme tell you its MTB heaven! anyone looking for an unforgettable riding experience do yourselves a favour n' get out there! dont let the unforgettable part fool you, its proper challenging and really technical at times ( depending on which of the routes you select )... mistyslav2008-06-02 15:01:20
  6. its not anyone's place to decide on what an acceptable distance to drop their sh#t is. when the race organiser pleas for ' no littering ' it means NO F#$%^&G littering boys n' girls! i have noticed in events its the guys who dont carry hydration on their backs ( calm down speedsters i'm generalising...) who tend to chuck their sh#t all over da place. who are you to contribute to the eventual banning of our races then try and justify it in any way possible!! c'mon man whether you up front or way back respect the organisers pleas, dont litter full stop. no prizes for who'll be first to stand up n' complain when organisers announce that race entries are doubling to cover the cost of cleaners and staff to police these events, gees...
  7. google 'brighterlights'...my ridin partner just bought one of these babies n' lemme tell you if its not the best out there its tie with the other best ones...its a locally made product (guy in mpumalanga as a hobby). its not a cheapy by any means but i havent come across anything bedda myself...
