70's Campy

Thanks - Any idea what I Should look to pay for a 70's Campy group and a respray? A ballpark would be helpful in weighing up options?

Thanks for the advice - definitely agree with using the bike before attempting the rebuild. From first ride, it feels just a little small for me as its a 56cm and I am 1.79m. Perhaps its just because I havent been on a road bike in a while though

Thanks for the tips! Just keen to get riding for now so will keep a keen eye on the classifieds for a decent Campy Groupset and maybe consider the complete restoration once I'm comfortable that the frame is for me

I have another single speed build underway at the moment - The single speed option is to allow me to ride the bike without spending an incredible amount on a Campy Group as I have always coveted a Colnago. It seems fundamentally wrong to ride the bike with the current setup Which Campy Group would be appropriate for the model and what should I expect to spend? Would it be so wrong to build up with a shimano tri-colour group that I have in the parts bin?

Thanks bikebloke! Thoughts on the rebuild? Convert to an SS or spent half my savings on a period correct campy groupset to replace the Exage 600 and Sora ?

Tried posting this in a "Help me identify this Colnago" thread when I was offered this bike, however received no response. Trying again here after having bought the bike, somewhat impulsively Any ideas which Colnago this might be? It does say "Mexico" on a label, though I am 99% sure it isn't a Mexico as the fork does not match the pictures I have seen?

Hi All, Have always dreamt of owning a colnago and was recently offered the below frame. Any idea which model it is, or what I should be paying for it? Am aware that someone butchered it by building it up with Shimano SORA components - practically blasphemous!

I purchased this Han som Super Prestige recently and would like to know if anyone has any information on it? From what I can see the frame is made of Aluminium (Didn't know that Hansom made Aluminium frames). I have tried Google with little success and there doesn't seem to be any specific name other than Hansom.

Don't do it. The Shocks on those bikes just add weight without function. Friend picked up a Silverback Sola 4 29er with Deore drivetrain, Airshock and hydraulic discs brand new for ZAR 6 500.

Does anyone know where I can get my hands on new shimano gear cable housings.(The old clear stuff that came with the exage groups) Looking for it for a restoration of my Alan. I was able to find brand new brake cable housing but no luck with the gear housing.

Hi Guys Recently acquired this stunning Alan. I wouldn't say she is Mint but definitely not too far from it. I'm not sure if she classifies as Retro as she is a 95 model.

Thanks! Any advice on the wheelset? The Mavics seem to be lighter however they do not match. I do however have a set of 32 hole Mavic open 4 CD's. Would anyone have a 32 hole rear hub I could a rim onto?

Hi Hubbers, I am attempting my first bike build and needed some advice on the parts that I should be using for the build. The Frame is a Tommasini Racing Alloy acquired from a fellow hubber along with a mixed wheelset (Mavic Open Pro rear & Mavic Open 4 CD Front both with Exage 600 hubs). The components will likely be a mixture of Mirage and Veloce. I have however acquired a nice set of Vuelta Airline 2 wheels with Ultegra hubs. I also have a set of 32 I am unsure of which wheelset to use for the build? Any advice would be appreciated.
