  1. Im on the lookout for one of the scratch models, preferably the carbon ones
  2. Ive been trying to find out who imports these saddles, but no luck. Anybody know who can supply me with these saddles?
  3. Yeah didi? I sent a pm but no reply? @awesome, I might give quite a few things, but what is the average shipping cost for a frame?
  4. Hey @awesme, I'm interested, I might have a few things I'd like to order. Can I join on your order?
  5. Ok here it is. Its totally different from the exact actuation technology. I do know that the road versions 11 speed and 10 speed derailers are the same in shifting movement, but as far as mountain goes, its different. The 11 speeds have a whole new concept in design to ensure ghost shifting is elliminated. Best advice is to find someone that has the 11 speed setup and play around with the 10 speed derailer on the 11 speed cog and shifter. If it does work, you'll be a legend on the hub
  6. Since your topic title is for the Sram groupo, I'll give you my thoughts to it and what I found in my research. Firstly, 10 and 11 speed rear derailers are NOT the same. Keep in mind that there is only a limited space for a cogset and if they kept the spacing the same as 10 speed, then there won't be enough space for another cog. Ok its a bit wider than a 10 speed cog in total if you put all the gears net to each other, but the spacing between gears are definitely smaller than 10 speed. Then secondly, I've only done research on Srams cranks and I don't know if Shimano even does the single blade crank yet. Srams crank was invented for both the 1x10 and 1x11 setups in mind. This being said, you will need to get the type 2 derailer. Some have mentioned in the topic that I started 'X01 front and X0 rear' that you need a shadow derailer on the rear of you want to go shimano on the back. I'm assuming that you meant you wanted to add the 42 tooth cog, this is for rear? This is where you have to go check what the derailer is capable of. Each derailer has a max cog tooth. On road we go up to a 32t for srams long cage. I'll check on srams mountain parts, but I don't know about shimanos. Best advice will be to stick to the manufacturer that already has this technologies available like sram before losing a lot of money
  7. Gareth just for curiosity on your wheels and how a wider profile benefits in the wind. Go check out Eastons Phanton wheel video that boasts the wider rim. I had a long debate when it came to the deep sections and how the wind was going to affect me as I am 171cm and weigh 63kg. After a lot of research on the topic I decided to buy the Concept wheels instead of the Darkhorse wheels for 2 main reasons: it has better control in cross winds as due to the wider rim, has a lot more stiffness. It is a little heavier, but being that my bike is already on the weight limit of 6.8kg, weight was brought into account. I'd say ask someone who has a wider rim deep secion wheelset for a test drive in the wind and see if it feels better for yourself
  8. BB type? Weight? How much you want for it? Come on Didi, the boys like the details of the toys
  9. Screw Google, you guys are much better!!! Hahaha thanks guys. I'll post some pics when I'm done with the build
  10. Is Race face the brand name?
  11. @Roneblack46 where can I get those components?
  12. And how can I determine the Q-factor for the frame?
  13. And are there different bcd cranks from sram? As W@nted said 104BCD, I saw 74BCD on some? What would be the best BCD configuration when you want to replace parts later? I'm asking this because just reading through one shop, I've noticed a lot of different BCD sizes compared to road BCD sizes where you only have compact 110BCD, standard sram/shim 130BCD and then campag 135bcd
  14. Another question, what is meant by Q-factor
  15. And where is the best place to buy a single blade crank?
  16. Sounds like sram are a few years ahead in mtb with technology. I'm a roadie so all this info is very interesting. I'm busy building a merida ninety nine hfs 3000D with DT swiss rear shock and Rockshox SID RLT front shocks. This is for a friend new to cycling. I want to add a Rotor chainring in the mix, any advice?
  17. Why a type 2 sram derailleur?
  18. Thanks a lot guys, after doing some research of my own, I have found that Sram actually built the X01 crank to be able to work with both the 10 and 11 speed setups and even confirms it on some of their pages. So it is possible to build a single 1x10 setup and save a lot of cash at the end of the day
  19. I am busy with a build and I am considering using a single chainblade crank on the front with a 10 speed rear setup. Since Im no expert in mountain bike setups, is this possible?
  20. Evobike is simply the best when it comes to those niche products like my QXL rings or those exotic shoes. They're always helpful and friendly. Thanks Evobike
  21. Ask to test the 50mm wheels. He's wheels are the wide tudorial design which handle better in cross winds. You'd have better performance and durability on the 50mm wheels than on 38mm
  22. Sorry but Eastons do have a weight limit of 115kg
  23. Give Leonard a call at Concept cycles. He builds carbon deep section wheels and it has a 2 year warrantee. I garauntee you hel be able to get you the set before the 94.7. www.conceptcycles-sa.com/ this guy always goes the extra mile
  24. If anybody is going to put in an order any time soon, give me a shout! need to order some stuff too
  25. Everybody is complaining about the R20 extra, I'm still pissed about their seeding screw ups!!!! I currently have a sub 10 seeding index and on every damn cc race I end up in the last bunches. So I sent them n "nice" email expressing my feelings about their useless system, only to be told the exact same stupid story: we can fix it at registration. Its become like a second nature to know they've screwed up my race number before I even received the email. I have decided that the Carousel would be my LAST cc race and I will now refer to them as championshit!
