These were definitely paintball guns - I saw many of the broken balls along Bridal. The baboons were seriously pissed off - there was a massive fight amongst them. Not cool for us when we run the risk of getting caught in the middle of both paintballers and fighting baboons.

First time at Tokai this morning. So much fun for this flatlander from Jozi. I noticed two guys with paintball guns (and full paintball kit) taking shots on Bridle while I was passing the Ruin (I think). As I descended Bridle the baboons were super agro - had my pepper spray in hand as a few approached me on the trail. Not sure if these clowns were shooting at the baboons? Has this happened before in Tokai?

I'm planning on making a MTB training weekend for the Argus in March and want to ride Table Mountain MTB route and Tokai/Silvermine. Will it be safe for this Joburger to ride alone? I see the Table Mountain Route map highlights a crime spot near hospital bend. Should I be aware of any other hotpots in these areas?

Hey there Hub'ers I noticed while riding the Airport/Emperors Tree section this morning that there is a squatter who has set up camp in the trees, pretty close to the 6" Nails sections - you'll see the shack through the trees on the right hand side as you reach the sign. I couldn't see anyone but there is a shack set up, with blankets and it looks lived in. This could be a dangerous position, so watch out.
