  1. That's already a lot of help, thank you very much. I have searched quite a bit, but can only really find road rides and UCI races, so hopefully with your links I can find a nice race while I am visiting. Thanks again for your help :-)
  2. Thanks for your reply :-D I will be following the Tour de France for a bit on my bike, the Alpe de Huez days. After that I will be in the region of Paris for a week and after that in Amsterdam. But in the Netherlands I can travel anywhere. Classification would be great, bit more of a challenge I guess? Also, after Amsterdam I could go back to France if there are more options?
  3. Hi all, Was wondering if someone could help me out please, do they also have "fun rides" in France and the Netherlands? And if so, which websites could I visit? I will be traveling a bit with my bike and would like to ride some "races". Any feedback would be highly appreciated.
  4. I've also heard about this. Lets see if someone can confirm.
  5. I don't have a road bike... So don't really have a choice :-D
  6. @Skubarra - Yes, I'm not saying he is wrong at all. Just that people look at things differently and do certain events for different reasons :-) But yes, very brave to have it on the Saterday... Still, I am very tempted to do it, because I'm not worried about a "good" Argus time.
  7. @Marius - Don't think you have to call people sheep for doing it. Some people (like myself) are doing it to enjoy a nice ride with friends and lots of fun people on the side. Not that it matters why I am doing it, just different strokes... Then you might as well also be called a sheep for being a cyclist, don't you think? I can use more examples, like why my mom (age 55) rather does the Argus and not a MTB event with single tracks etc
  8. Hmm... I don't know. Very bad timing. Maybe I should do both? How tough is the 35km one? Don't wana be useless at the Argus
  9. By the way, I've tested Endomondo on the Steppa and it works great so far, going to take it with tomorrow on a long ride and see how the battery holds up if anyone is interested.
  10. It's not R500p/m. It is R500 cash, once off. Don't get cheaper than that
  11. Just bought myself 2x MTN Steppa's Already downloaded Endomondo, busy with the setup now. Now I don't have to waste my battery life of the iPhone anymore :-D :-D
  12. Just an idea and also, I didn't read all the comments now, so it might have been mentioned, but... What about starting an official Youtube channel for this (if there isn't one already)? Just to get videos etc started. I am sure quite a few riders use GoPro's etc like myself? Can even make some "short-films" to draw some attention? I don't know, just an idea. If anyone agrees with me, feel free to contact me, I am in the IT industry, so I have some knowledge about this and wouldn't mind helping out :-)
  13. We usually stop in Stellies at Java or at Willow Bridge close to Tyger Valley. Depends on the ride that day.
