Candidates, as Thor has pointed out, should state their case for representing Tokai, in whatever way they can - the vast majority of riders in Tokai and surrounding areas has no idea who Vince or I are, or that Dan Dobinson is on the existing committee. That needs to be ironed out before the voting can commence.

Okay - so essentially only the nominations count. Whoever has the most amount of nominations gets voted in, if they agree to it. Positions are then discussed within the newly elected committee. Correct? So you ONLY have to send your nominations, without listing portfolios, in to AMARider. Anyone averse to this?

Yeah Rika, I agree with you here. Let's keep it to the guys in and around the centre itself, who actually use the park and are directly affected by the AGM. That can include people that come from all over, but it also means that Mr. Joe Average from Hermanus doesn't come through 'cos he once saw tokai in 1995 and now sees this. But - at the same time the proxy process must be controlled to a degree. That must be the last resort. And the forms MUST be signed by the granters of the proxy. 'cos the process, as open as it is, may be open to abuse from any person involved.

Hey Patch, imo Duane etc shouldn't get flak at all. Its something that EVErYONE should do. Regardless of rider type. Any naysayers can only be ascribed to jealousy. Yes, I said it. There.

There is now no longer a Tokai DH Riders page. Not even as a closed group. Unless it's been unpublished and is being "cleaned" - there was a LOT of vitriol and "incriminating content" relating to the trails and disregard for the authority of Parks. So I can only imagine that when Pappa Bear posted that screenshot (and subsequently sent me a copy of the entire thread) the owner of the page went into Damage Control.
