  1. Well thanks everyone for the advice. Was very useful. I'm going to start looking for a new fork! Seems like the best option.
  2. OK so let me understand this. If your stanchions are scratched, your shock will loose air and oil. Now only one of my stanchions are scratched, the side that has the lockout system on. So because the side that you pump with air is fine, (no scratches) the shock will only loose oil on the damaged side and not any air because the side that contains air is fine? Is this correct? I hope i haven't lost you guys!
  3. Thanks for you help! i will do so. The shox was serviced previously but obviously not enough. I was also under the impression that they where very tough, guess my service intervals where a little bit to far spaced! I wont make this mistake again!
  4. Wow that is expensive, way more than i was expecting!
  5. Iv noticed that one of my stanchions on my 2012 rockshox sid has started to scratch. What should i do? -Get new stanchions?(how much?) -Just keep riding it and hope for the best? -Buy a new fork? If I sold the fork, as is. What could I get for it? Thanks guys.
  6. The same thing has happened to my rock shox sid. Scratching on the stanchion. Is the rock shox just as expensive to fix as the fox? I know of someone who's fox fork did the same as yours. I dont know the details but he sent it back to fox and got a new one, but it happened again. He sent it back again and fox resprayed it with a stronger paint coating. No hassels since
  7. Usually just over R500 a month. Does vary thou, breakages can be expensive!
