  1. Good to see another person getting into the sport , In terms of extra equipment , you would definitely need a helmet , look at the Lazer range they are well priced and good value for money , in terms of gloves pretty much anything is suitable for riding , and for pants and shirts you would have to look at what you want to spend and go from there . In terms of riding glasses you can get ones that you can fit with prescription lenses , speak to your local optometrist about these .
  2. Thanks for the advice , ill look around and see what i can find

  8. I have entered myself into the 2012 SSWC , and have bought a new frame and rigid fork , wheels etc except for the crank and rear gear ring which I am finding extremely hard to find . Does anyone know where to get hold of these parts and exactly what I must as I have everything except the drivetrain . Thanks .
  9. Hi Milord , from reading the specs on your bike id say just sell the bike as a whole , nowadays components dont fetch such a high price , and since your bike is a specialized FSR it should fetch about R14000 - R16000 depending on condition . Good luck with the sale:)
  10. An all mountain bike is perfect for what you want to do , but it all depends on how much you want to spend .
