I have seen one of the bikes and its a seriously nice looking bike. I would ride one any day just not for R90 grand.

From a different angle. I have known Robbie and John for many years now. I really like the guys and they are not bad people. I also know one, if not more of the people who purchased a fake bike from them. Also great people and good friends. Having watched this saga unfold over the past few weeks it is very clear that there are some very angry customers and a bike shop that very clearly "lost its way" and did not understand the law. Now they will suffer the consequences. The cycling community is such a tight family and an amazing one to be a part of. Just make sure you treat it with the same respect and appreciation or it will shut you down. At least this has brought all of our attention to the constant influx of fake bikes and components and in future we will be more educated and aware of what to look out for. I hope all parties involved manage to sort this out amicably.

Well bloody done! Loved your posts. By far some of my favourite Epic coverage and reports.

They have lots of cameras and loads of footage but we will never get to see most of it. Maybe some other country in the world is enjoying "real" coverage of the epic.

They have more than enough cameras if you look at the daily coverage. So thats not the problem. At the moment 10minutes of the 25 minutes coverage is a recap. The commentator is talking so fast to try get it all in. And the commentary is nowhere near where it should be for a race of this magnitude. Our Rugby and Cricket commentary is world class but this cycling commentary is not good at all. For the biggest MTB race in the world, it feels like I'm watching a 3rd rate Supercycling production. I will switch off every other programme just to sit, watch and enjoy Epic coverage. Hell even if they can't get the commentry and production quality up, at least give us more than 25 minutes a day.

Bro, love your reports. They are getting better and better. Amazing photos. Makes me wish I was there. You guys are so lucky to be there amongst the incredible scenery and even more incredible riders. Well done and keep the reports coming.

So the Epic is the Tour de France of Mountainbiking! Wow thats something to be proud of as a South Afican! Is it only me then who finds the TV coverage and commentary a little disappointing. Half an hour a night and its barely doing justice to a race of this magnitude. It realy does feel like it could be a whole lot better if you compare it to the Tour de France or even some of the other Pro-Tours coverage and commentary. They know how to draw you in, to give you the whole experience and make you want to be there even as a spectator if anything. The TDF dont just showcase the race but showcase the country in such a cool way. Some of the most amazing scenery this country has to offer if not some of the best MTB race scenery in the world. Just look at some of the amazing photos that are being taken of the Epic. The radical untamed mountains, valleys, forests, local wildlife and world class competitors unlike any other event. Yet the photos do more justice to the scenery and race than the TV footage does. The photos draw me into the race more and make me want to be riding there so much more that the Tv commentary. Im so proud that we have a race as amazing as this but I am so disappointed in how we are showcasing and covering it on TV. Come on guys give us more and stop disappointing! We and surely every other MTB in the world wants it.

Bro, I had a set of Elixirs on my bike and had numerous problems with them. Silicon spray helps with the squeaking. I bit the bullet and bought SLX and XT Ice Rotors. Massive difference. SLX are just as good as XT with a nice price saving and and believe it or not they weigh exactly the same. I have seen them weighed. Sell your Avids and put the money towards a set of SLX.

Also had great service from Janos at Evobikes on a return item. Their courier company did screw my one delivery up and after waiting for days I eventually drove to the courier company DC and wandered around the building to finally find my parcel.
