  1. Why then do noone in the downhill corner use them?
  2. Can leftys take all the punch that the standard forks survive? How do they cope with super hard braking? Don't they twist?
  3. In most soft tail bikes, you get some small reliance on the rear derailleur's play. That is more extreme on the single pivot designs. If that is what you have, then you can use a tension guide
  4. An interesting thing I heard from body-builers is that proper hydration before the exercise is more important than during. They reason that you properly hydrate an hour before the event. This is to make sure you don't carry a bag of water in your belly, but have it in your bloodstream by the commecement event. Then you carry a light water bottle for the throat. Now, I know that this will not work for 3h+ races, but for most of my riding it has been very efficient. On the "thirst" idea, we as humans have the incredible capacity to shut down our senses, I know of guys that got kidney problems due to improper hydration. Of course you sould also take in enough salt, we lose alot with sweat. Then, no matter how hydrated you are, you'll be flat
  5. To quite truthfull, they are stock FSA wheels, so no idea about who built them. I'll try getting it at the bike shop... who is there in PTA? Thanks!
  6. Nope, FSA hubs and Rockshox recon
  7. Hi guys! As the title says, the wheel bends. I recently put on a 180 rotor, and since the wheel bends about 2cm at the top while braking (hard). Is that normal? Thanks!
  8. Just try to get solid proof of the 50/50 agreement eg. an email or letter. Then the case will be more easily resolved. Therein he accepted guilt (at least paritial). It will be best to go see a lawyer, even though he cannot represent you at the small claims court. It will give you great insight as to the requirements an reasoning of the presiding officers. You could potentially work your legal costs into the claim. However for a sum of R1500, I would not consider it worth the trouble. He may just come with troublesome excuses for example the side of the road you were on, were there a bicycle lane, did he use his indicators, did you use proper indications? Therefore, I wouldn't go there myself, but as I said go find a lawyer. All the best! G
  9. Hey guys! I currently ride 160mm rotors. Will I feel a big difference if I change to 180mm? I ride a 26" at speeds between 35 and 60kmh on downhill sections. Will 180 front and 160 rear be a suitable combo? Thanks!
  10. Thanks guys! The last few posts have been really helpfull!
  11. HAHA HAH AHA! And I'm worried about dignity! Who knows, maybe one of your daughters will one day bring home a dude with your clothing taste
  12. No. However, do consider what you think of yourself before parading like that... Your'e not married are you?
  13. Wow! It seems as if I scratched an old wound! If anyone think that I will dress myself up as a guppy and put my dignity on the line like that, forget it! Thanks for all the reasonable advice!
  14. Hi all! I'm looking for a pair of baggy mtb shorts, like the fox shorts. Does anyone know where I can find them, or simmilar? Thanks!
  15. Hey guys! I think alot of us, including quite experienced riders, have troube naming specific parts of our bike without describing them. Is there an updated diagram wich newbies can use? Thanks!
