After a super successful first year and some very manageable routes for all the riders, the feedback received was nothing short of fantastic. 2 days and 2 nights around the beautiful Amatola Mountains, on routes that range between 45 kms and 50 kms. It might sound like a walk in the park, but the amount of climbing in this area will get close to 1100m for the 50 km, making it a rather tough Gold Route. The silver will be slightly shorter at around the 35km mark. Both routes will feature predominantly jeep tracks and forestry road, the event isn't technical at all and E Bikes are more than welcome to come and explore this beautiful part of the world. There are multiple options available for both camping, hotel and Ride Only packages, so you can see which options works best for you and go from there! Visit https://forestboogie.co.za// for more information. Go to Event Page.

As we look forward to the 2026 edition of the M&G Investments PE Plett, we have decided to stick to the same formula as in 2025 — following the same direction, starting from St Francis Links in St Francis Bay, covering over 280 km along the famous Garden Route, and finishing four days later at Nature’s Valley Rest Camp. We believe this approach worked exceptionally well, beginning with the toughest day and gradually easing as the event progressed. Our reasons are twofold: firstly, we want to preserve the trails of Tsitsikamma for our M&G Investments PE PLETT event; and secondly, it has been years since the town of Hogsback last hosted an MTB event in the forests of the Amatola Mountains. The date has been set for the 15th and 16th of March, 2025.   The Forest Boogie will have two classes: Gold and Silver, with the Gold route covering approximately 61 km per day and the Silver route a more modest 32 km. A separate e-bike class will tackle the Gold route. The Arminel Lodge will be our host venue, encompassing the Forest Boogie race village, and will provide excellent accommodation and sumptuous meals.
