  1. hey Bud . i know of a few people with no drivers licenses EVER. and some of them wer/are in their late 50"s. not sure how they get around ,but it must be one hell of a restrictive life.
  2. YEP BOB A it called experience.when going to a bike shop it is the experience you pay for . i can buy everything else cheaper on the net ,the advantage the net doesnt have is hands on experience. perhaps if you knew that ..you would have thought before you typed.
  3. petatodd NAIL ON THE HEAD
  4. RIP . respect to the family.
  5. hey bud you need to get a plan together ,,fast . firstly you need to get some base in zone 2 and 3 training .build it up over the next 2,5 months, you should be able to complete 200 km. get some hills in depends where you stay and if you have strava and a garmin try and get some steady climbing in.build up to 2,5-3,5km a week. last 2 weeks add some pace to your work out last 3 days prior to even rest up,in any case if you not prepared by then expect to pay for it in the race, good luck .ahh yeah dont forget to experiment with your calorie intake on the rides ,in some longer rides you body can react differently over time so you may want to play with carbs and proteins before race day.
  6. wot you complaining about ??YOU DONT KNOW HOW CHEAP YOU GOT IT . overseas like australia and new zealand you pay on average $85 (R540) for a typical 100k race with no t-shirt of sponsors bag,
