Is the MTB event in Feb or in Nov 2014?

This event is a must do, spectacular untouched beach riding.

We had the same problem in PTA East with guys that was shot at and actually shot for bikes in October or Nov last year. We involved the media, police and even the DA ward councillor to put pressure on the not so assisting SAPS. The guy who took a bullet through his helmet actually got a small radio spot as well on Jacaranda if I recall. Search the hub for bike jacking in PTA East. Lots of info on what we all did. So yes, use every possible avenue to stop these cowardly bastards. Hope you all that was affected by these guys are ok.

R101 is chaos. I drive it in the mornings to Midrand. In my opinion steer clear, lots of kamikaze taxis on the road, off road, jumping red lights etc.

Hi all, any MTB clubs / groups in the Moreletapark / Woodlands area that I can join for rides? Newish here and haven’t been on the bike for a while, but I am sure I won’t be entirely useless . Looking for early weekend rides.

Bit off topic, a mate of mine has video footage of a Hilux being stripped of its tracking unit, very close to Parkview shopping centre (Close to Woodlands). He called the police as it was happening, they arrived, eventually. He showed them the video and asked if they want a copy................wait for it............drum roll, they replied NO!

Crisis, crisis. Just yesterday someone posted that they had a meeting with Garsfontein SAPS. Honestly, how difficult can it be to catch these bastards. Maybe one of the units sitting pretty next to the highway at Rigel avenue can move and do some work. Its not even far to drive.

We are newish to PTA East and stay around the corner from these incidents. I haven’t been riding and the desire to ride is being dampened by this crap. If they (ruthless criminals) are willing to take adults on in this cowardly manner, what will they do with kids? How do we keep the youngsters involved and safe in the sport we all love? I have a love / hate relationship for this country and what it has become, especially Smoggville. To ride or not ride, that is the question.
