  1. Nice one, did not think about that
  2. Fellow Cyclists, Can we clean house and attempt to make friends with the other road users. We tend to blame all other road users for what they do wrong and to us, but look at the photo taken today, 04/01/12 at 07h00, the corner of Swartkoppies (R554) and Klipriver (R556). This is a busy and dangerous part of the road and intersection, where cars and trucks join Swartkoppies from Klipriver, going towards the Lido. Unfortunately this happens on a daily basis with cyclists blocking the joining lane completely, totally disregarding other road users, their own safety and the safety aspect of a busy intersection. Safe rides to all fellow cyclists.
  3. Lido Loop is not to safe even in a group, no matter the size, to the truckers cyclist are a target, or to see how close they can get. How about the Waterboard road, is that still safe? Pink Floyd2009-09-03 09:49:00
  4. Great idea will look into it. Thnx for the info.
  5. Thanks for the info looking forward to a great time there. Will be based in a little town somewhere in Tuscany and riding a different direction everyday, finishing with some good red wine and Italian bread before dinner.
  6. If anyone have found, or made a copy of the Argus, I would like to ask if at all possible if I could have a copy of the day in the wind.
  7. Thnx for the info, Circumstances permitting I would like to join you for the Sat ride to the Circus. Have not done it before and looking forward to it.
  8. Thnx for the comeback. I live in Meyersdal and an avg of 25kph on a MTB is fast for me. I would like to ride with, but not to be a burden on the group or to an individual out for his or her training. Unfortunately today strength lies in numbers if you look at the incidents reported from MTB'ers.
  9. Can mere mortals ride with, or will we end up alone along the route?
  10. Is there a MTB group that ride from Sharondale Nursery on a Saturday morning and if so, what time?
  11. Small car, Ice cream, coffee, pasta and all things nice. What a brilliant idea. Would still like to cover some distance on 2 wheels and most certainly away from the big cities and tourist traps, small places with B&B. If we can survive rush hour here in SA, there might be light at the end of the tunnel. Thnx for the info.
  12. Road, might have to look at a new bike (2nd hand) to buy when over there instead of trying to take it with and loose it on the airlines, or damage. Still need to do some research as to what type of bike will be best for something like this. Looking at a base city, town or village and to do 1 to 2 day rides from the central base and then move on to the next place. Not interested in organised rip off tours.
  13. Excellent, no hate, glad you could do it,Wish I was there. Was at his concert when he was in SA. Thanks a lot for the info regarding Italy, will follow up.
  14. My wife and I are looking at a cycling holiday in Northern Italy, has anybody done that and if so, any tips and ideas?
  15. Hello All, Any news on a possible recording of our somewhat windy Argus ride?
