  1. Hi, we have a group of about 3 to 4 guys that ride on weekends in the Northen Farms/Lanseria area. Send me your cell number and I'll give you a shout next time we ride.
  2. Yes, races should be tough and a challenge but I agree that it felt like there was little route preperation. It seemed as though the race organisers just thought "ok, there's a mountain lets send them over it without even checking if it is rideable!" and the locked gate was a big balls up. The rocks and sand got a bit monotonous after a while. I think we have been spoilt with other races. I enjoy a challenge but it needs to be fun in the process. Carrying or pushing your bike for long periods is no fun, I'd rather be riding. I must say, great respect to all those that completed the 75km in good time. The 75km took me almost the whole day, just made it home in time for the rugby. Not sure if I'll do the 75km next year, didn't enjoy it.

  4. Thanks, looks like a cool bike, some good components. Could you recommend a bike dealer so I can go and check it out.
  5. Thanks, could you recommend a dealer. I live in Fourways, Jhb.
  6. Hi, yes I will transplant most of my components but I will need to probably get new shocks and will replace the other components in due course.
  7. Hi there, I'm new to the forum and need some advice. I've been riding a hardtail for a couple of years and have decided to make the move to a full suspension. I can buy a Specialized Epic frame from a friend for a good price and build up from there or buy a complete bike. My budget is about R 15,000. What would you recommend. If a complete bike, what bike would you go for. I like the Silverback Mercury 2. Help please.
