  2. Have a look at www.bhphotovideo.com they have more professional stuff, think they are about $360 though, but are tv quality.
  3. i was just thinking.... doesn't the weight on your wheels make more difference than just tyre levers etc, cause you not just carrying them along, you actually turning them and getting momentum going? kinda like a flywheel?
  4. i have been using them for about 3-4 months, haven't had a single puncture. they are heavy though
  5. i think they should have a slightly cheaper digital option, they would make less profit per pic, but at the moment i am not even buying them so it would be better than nothing:)
  6. the wheel would have to be under a lot of strain to break off, maybe the built up energy propelled the wheel forward as it snapped off! hope this helps you sleep better:)
  7. cool! shot for the input guy's... will post an outcome asap
  8. CT is a bit far hey, i was thinking more along the lines of Hillcrest - Durban Where is the best place to get the tools from though? do bicycle shops sell them?
  9. wow... JB that was helpfull! Really appreciate the effort you just made to help a fellow mountainbiker! i will have a look tonight, and take the wheel to the LBS in the morrow if it gets too hectic:)
  10. okay okay, LBS. i just hate someone else do something i am perfectly capable of... i am mechanically minded, can stip a mx bike down to a box of parts (and then re-assemble) just dont know bicycles yet... i will take it to the Mavericks later though and ask them
  11. that must be it do i need the special tools? i would also like to change bearings while i have it apart if possible?
  12. it doesn't seem to be the chain and my cassette is in good nick... would it maybe be the freewheel thingy? i really have no idea cause i am relatively new to mtb's and have never stripped one before... oh and where is the best place to get all these special tools that bikes need?
  13. my rear cassette sometimes skips a tooth or something every now and again, makes a big CLACK sound! wtf. i have never taken one apart so don't know whats cracking inside there:) and do i need that special LBS tool to get in or what?
