That weekend in 1994 was 'heavy' 1. Friday 29 April - During practice, Rubens Barrichello crashed heavily and was knocked unconscious. He got taken off to a medical centre and returned to the track a couple of hours later with only a minor cut on his face. He was medically barred from racing that weekend. 2. Saturday 30 April - During practice, Roland Ratzenberger crashed heavily into a concrete wall due to the front wing breaking off. Sustained a broken neck and subsequently passed away. 3. Sunday 1 May - Whilst leading the GP, Ayrton Senna crashed heavily on the 6th lap due to the steering column breaking. Subsequently passed away too. Ayrton had an Austrian flag tucked inside his racing overalls. He was going to wave it on the podium in honour of Roland. R.I.P Roland and Ayrton.

Thanks for that. As I initially stated, I hadn't seen anyything reported about it on any of the officiall news sites.

As yet I've not seen anything about this on any of the main news channels, therefore don't know if this is true or not. It appears that Michael Schumacher has awakened from his coma, recognised his wife and was speaking to her. Superb drive by Lewis. Driver of the day; Alonso - for driving to that dog of a Ferrari to a respectable 3rd place. Highlight of the day - albeit short lived; Kobayashi in the Caterham overtaking Vettel. I understand he wasn't racing Vettel, however surely he is allowed to unlap himself.
