  1. Must say yes, I have no reference on how the Crater use to be as the last one I did was one of the very first ones. So for me as first timer, it was great. Hehe, Spur is still ok for some of us youngsters that don't earn the big bucks (yet) Cheers
  2. Thanx Wessel and the guys from Advendurance. I enjoyed the race both the marathon and the half marathon, felt that there was enough water points and I feel that bananas and patatos are enough food for me thanx. I will go to the Spur after the ride if I want gourmet dining. Thanx for everything, you can never keep everyone happy as there will always be people complaining about stuff even at the greatest races in the series. Thanx for everything!!!
  3. Ai, I drove past there as well on Saturday morning. I was on the other side of the road so didn't know it was fellow cyclist. Shocked!!!! RIP, so sad.
  4. Here are my two wheeled children!
  5. Hi Rock I am no bike mechanic, but have you changed your cables and cable housing as well? I did that once and made the housing at the bottom of the seatpost too short and ended up getting one click short as well. It was fine after I swapped the housing for a longer one. Like I said I am no expert and aren't even sure whether that was really the problem but it worked for me for some reason. I hope some experts can help you with your problem.
  6. I know there is a good bike shop in that Owl shopping centre. The shops name is Tool-up Cycles. I have had good service from them before. As CB said yes.
  7. Happened to me and my wife on the USN Ride as well. We were shocked just before the water point and just after as we were crossing under the power lines!!! Freaky experience and totally unexpected!!!!
