Yes and rather quite easily. I have a friend who rode just under a hour faster than last year. If you out in the hard work you reap the reward. Pretty simple math. Rather say well done to the person you questioning instead of making them out to be a cheat.
No need for a 2nd group, none of the riders mentioned who will be joining will do more than that for this ride even if they come with deepsections and their transponders.
