To successfully compete follow these easy steps, You have signed up to freeworld sport (tick that box http://www.freeworldsport.com/fws-view/images/flyer-page-icon-tickbox.png) You have downloaded the FWS phone app or have a Garmin or other GPS device that can export a GPX or TCX file (Garmin and the App integrate directly) (tick that box http://www.freeworldsport.com/fws-view/images/flyer-page-icon-tickbox.png) You have a bike and a good set of legs (tick that box http://www.freeworldsport.com/fws-view/images/flyer-page-icon-tickbox.png)Okay go, Head for the Glen, you can see the course on this page If you are using lap function on your Garmin start your lap at the Curves Yield Sign at the bottom left, look for the FWS sticker on the pole, head straight up and hit stop at the Visitors Centre sign at the top left of the climb – you can submit one lap at a time to the challenge but don't submit a single master track with multiple laps of the Glen in it. If you have a track that includes a single climb up the Glenn, submit the master or single file and we will pick up the start and end points – this means you can ride through the Glen sector with the GPS running from where you started it and we will pick up the start and end points on the Glenn, from there we work out the time. Any issues zip your file and email it to support@freeworldsport.com and we will sort it out for you. Please note we calculate our own speed distances and times from the track points contained in the files you upload. This means that the playing field is even for all devices but also that the speed distances and times will differ on the site when compared with the device or other sites you may be using. The FWS calculations are the same for everyone so its completely fair. fhglen.tiff
