  1. See you in the hog tomorrow.....looks like its gonna be a wet one.
  2. Just you
  3. So Just to follow up on my decision......... I am loving my hard-tail. My skills have definitely improved and I have come to really enjoy climbing ... . I have done the Trans-Baviaans and several other Ultras with no problem whatsoever. My riding style has adapted and I believe I have become a much more efficient rider because of it......... All in all the HT was definitely the right choice for me.
  4. No sneak peek this year of the new single track ??
  5. Carbon paste
  6. I hit the wall last year on "stage four"......
  7. Better hurry there is virtually no accommodation left...... we managed to get a tent in Uniondale..
  8. So I got a hardtail but didnt get the Felt....... Got a momsen SL 729 R type with full XT conversion. Took it out for its first ride yesterday and yes there is a comfort sacrifice but man its quick. My mate "who usualy outclimbs me" was trying to play catchup on his Dualy . He just got his new Dual sus bike and now looks like he is gonna be shopping for a HT on monday. The weight advantage is well worth the sacrifice in comfort. I might just hang onto my 26" Dual Sus for the odd trail riding days. Thaks for all your help. P.S. I turn 40 this year and have ever felt stronger or fitter in my life.
  9. I do the "lord of the chainrings every year" . Funny thing is that I prefer the HT on single track as it is much more responsive. The only time I will be begging for the full sus is going down "cranck case alley"
  10. Im in the Eastern Cape so not sure where the felt dealers are in the big smoke
  11. yup the green on black is awesome in fact its a gloss finish on raw carbon..... check it out http://www.feltbicycles.com/Resources/ProductPhotos/felt-bicycles-92-sub1-lrg.jpg
  12. I have been on a full suss 26er for a couple of years now and have this strange desire to move to the hardtail. I love tough technical routes but feel a little lazy on my softail. Guese I want the fastest bike.. Oh yes doing the baviaans later this year..
  13. Its about an R8000 cost difference and a 1,76kg weight difference.
  14. The hardtail tickles my wallet and the softail tickles my "ass"
