Boksburg - A cyclist was killed after being struck by a car in Boksburg on Saturday, Ekurhuleni metro police said. Metro police spokesperson Kobeli Mokheseng said the accident occurred at around 05:00 at the corners Rondebult and Leeupoort roads in Boksburg. His body was found by a metro police officer on the side of the road and his bicycle a few metres away. The man was believe to be in his 50's. Although the cause of the accident was not clear, preliminary investigations revealed that the man was struck by a car from behind. The driver of the car fled after the accident. A case of culpable homicide has since been opened. "We are appealing to cyclist and to people jogging, always ride or run in numbers where it is safe to do so when exercising," said Mokeseng.

The cost of a medal is about R8. If the amount of medals ordered is enough u don't get charged for the dye and setup costs. Medals are not a big saving. traffic, timing, setting up the venue and entries online all cost money. Just mentioning a few of the costs. I have prove that it actually cost less to participate in an event than it cost the organizers to present the race. if it was not for sponsership the entry fees will be more than it is at the moment.

In an earlier topic the question was ask about the Bakwena not included in the Seeding ladder. Yeepie now it's there.

Wheel suckers? I don't think this is the only race where this kind of behavior takes place. There is many events that the conditions allow for this tactics from fellow cyclist. Wrong then to put this label onto the Bakwena race

1st payment to cchip was done on 6-11-2008 and the final payment to them was on 14-12-2008. Think the problem lies then with cchip regarding the querry as for the seeding for the Bakwena event

I would like any comments from ppl that dealt with ChainReactionCycles from the UK. for example: order received in 3-5 days, communication from the source if order could not be delivered in time, import tax etc
