  1. I have a set on my Intense Tracer 29, best bars I've ever owned, noticeable difference in arm pump between my RF Atlas bars and them after a full run down Peppercorns (SP2) at Hakahana
  2. I've snapped my right wrist and my right radius in the last 6 years and my rigid 29er SS is my go to bike. I have no issues with vibration or pain, you learn the meaning of "light hands" pretty quickly, can happily do a four hour ride without feeling pain. I have an MRP Rock Solid in a 490mm length, done nearly 2000kms with zero issues
  3. My latest build #VPP #29er
  4. I'm more gravity orientated and used to be on the 26 for life bandwagon (think I was trying to convince myself my expensive enduro bike was still good to race with), then I built up a rigid 29er single speed, completed building my new enduro bike this year and it's a 29er, there is no other wheel size IMO now.
  5. welcome to Hakahana, it can really bite when it wants to, but we wouldn't have it any other way hope to see you at champs weekend
  6. That's was great, as always, Thanks Johan and Crew. The timing tags were awesome, allowed for us to ride in trains if we chose to. nice to see the series growing and more riders coming out. Always new faces, would be nice to see more of the new faces become regulars.
  7. Magura MT5 dual piston brakes SRAM XO1 11 speed (upgrade from XO1 9 speed) Spank Vibrocore bar Shimano's for fishing, SRAM's for racing
  8. Shot Johan, walking all the way back to the car after a stage to fix a puncture properly and then going back and doing the next 3 stages, wasn't going to not be on the list
  9. Hi Johan, I'm not on the list and completed it all, I think it's because I ran under two numbers that you missed it - 79 and 229
  10. SNAP, so I might not be the only crazy thinking of this. Done all the races and have ridden nothing but 160mm FS for bikes for 6 years now, about to finish building a #29er #SS #BMX #klunker #Rigid bike next month and seriously think of doing it on a fully rigid SS. You can do it all, just hit the B lines, and anyone who does it on a rigid SS has large cajones, even the B lines
  11. everyone's getting quicker, time to mix up the trails (build one or two new?) and do some blind sections on race day maybe?
  12. I would love to assist in building and am thankful for the guys that do, but with two young kids and a demanding professional career, I'm lucky to be able to assign 6 hours a week on a Sunday morning to go ride, let alone build. That being said, if there were a trail building association that focused on building and maintaining trails in Gauteng, I would happily pay a members fee to support the guys who can devote the time. It's why I try and support Hakahana at least once a month, without buying a multiple entry pass so that they can get continuous funding from me and I'm happy to pay their entrance fees for their races, which I'm extremely grateful for.
  13. Sea Otter, Crankworx (world wide) - same format and they're huge
  14. dang, have plans to be away that weekend, will have to wait for the next one
