  1. Have to go with the Garmin. My first unit gave me problems, and they replaced it immediately. The guys in CT have always been helpful with my GPS units (I have a few...). The problem is the cost of the components if you need to replace. The plastic mounting is appalling considering the cost/value of the unit. The plastic retaining clip breaks easily (treat it well), and a replacement fitting (I mean, this is a piece of plastic!) cost R150!!! Still a nice toy though, and I only have the 305. The 705 looks amazing, but the additional functionality/map/screen etc. is not nearly justified by the additional cost.
