A couple of years back they resurfaced the main road in Durbanville like that, 2 months later it was smooth! Car tyres removed the stones in no time. If they loose, like cycling on marbles and puncture rate will be up! Was a very unsatisfying feeling on Saturday having to pedal down Chappies and not just flow through turns. Saying that... still way safer to cycle than in the winelands at present.

That's the last piece to my puzzle. Think I might fake an injury, put the bicycle together and cruz the beach road... in the wind and rain!

I felt like I had to say thanks to the people at Rapide.co.za I had just lost some faith in pre and after sales service due to a large retailer. Then Rapide.co.za just restored it! I placed my order yesterday afternoon from CT to this JHB company (first time order), this morning I get to my office and the parcel is on my desk. Thanks again... Next order is just a SARS pay out away!

Must say a little disappointed to have got the "Unsuccessful" mail considering i did both Argus MTB and Road last year plus seeding events leading up. The system seems a little "off", have friends that wanted to do it for the first time... Needless to say, "unsuccessful". How do newbies get to enjoy the "Argus Experience"? Suppose can still do "Tour of Stellenbosch" and "Argus MTB"... And hope and pray an entry comes available in the second round of allocations!

I sat with the same issue to convert 9 to 10 speed on my 29'er... With all the components to upgrade, gets pricey! (unless you upgrade everything on budget quality) Went to LBS and had them order a Shimano 12-36T 9-Speed cassette, arrived yesterday and has made the world of difference. Granny gear pedals as easy as my 3x10 26" and I'm running an SLX 38/26 crank on the 29'er. Cost was only a R370 upgrade (and the price of a new chain if needed). Don't have the need to change to 10 speed now.
