  1. Cape Storm was prepaired to return the goods for another size of the same price. Which I was more than happy to accept.
  2. Thanks to Nelia Smit from Cape Storm. She really went out of her way and apologised for the original mail which I received from somebody else.
  3. Thanx to Cape Storm. I was contacted and the problem was solved now I will be able to see if this is such a good product as I was told after all.!!!!!!
  4. Why don't they say anything about their return policy on the big sale banner on their website.
  5. I did not even see the short yet still with my friend but she has the same built as me and hers does not fit so mine will also not fit!!!!!
  6. My friend bought me a Cape Storm cycling shorts in JHB yesterday and unfortunately they do not fit. I E-Mailed Cape Storm asking what there return policy is and this is what they replied. So please make sure you buy the right thing because taking it back is a no-no. So now I own a very nice cycling short wich a lot of people rant and rave about but I can not comment on the quality. "Capestorm does not offer Exchange or Refunds on Sale items, This policy is written on proof of purchase. Please advise whether I can assist you further. Kind regards,"
  7. Thank you for all the positive feedback. The organisers really worked hard to make it a safe race. If there is anything that you would like to see changed or improve for next year please let us know.
  8. Remember you can do line entries.
  9. 5 days to go till race day.
  10. Yes it is timed by champion chip. Totally new route and new sponsors. The route is not as flat as the previous one. We are doing our best to make it as safe as possible.
  11. Event Name: Auto Alpina Springs Cycle Race 2011 When: 22 October 2011 Where: Nigel Dam, Gauteng Category: Road The route starts at Nigel Dam and goes to Balfour and from there to devon. It is a good practice race for the 94.7. Go to Event Page
  12. Does anybody have a garmin route of the mtb route starting at Sparkling Waters Hotel or any other route that you can recommend around Buffelspoort I have never done any MTB there.
  13. My husband was disqualified at the 94.7. Somehow he started one group ahead of him after asking a guy at the start to check his nr. for him to make sure he is in the right group. He is always very specific in making sure he starts in the right group. I phoned them after we could not find his time at a later stage and they just wouldn't listen to reason and said that his time was removed and he was disqualified because he started in the wrong group. So yes in some races you do get disqualified.
  14. Was a gr8 race. Had a bit of a problem with the marshalling. One of our tandem teems got lost and somebody at the finish told us that they also got lost. Two of our other cycling partners missed the 97km turnoff because they could not hear what the marshall said. Took the 39km route, something went wrong. They had a crash and we had to pick them up at the hospital. One of them was admitted to hospital at home today. Looks like he broke his hip. It was caos at the hospital with all the casualties.
  15. Voltageza. Hope they have stock of the SB for you if you decide to buy one. I wanted a ventura and aparently they could not find a 17" anywhere in SA for me so I had to buy another brand.
  16. I'm also a medium
  17. Ok. Now that I have made my decision the bike shop says it can not find me a silverback anywhere in Gauteng. So Now it either the KHS or is there any other bikes which you can recommend for the price.
  18. So, it looks like the Silverback wins. What components makes it the better bike?
  19. silverback R7300 KHS R7500
  20. I must choose between this 2 Mountain Bikes. Please help me decide. I love the KHS frame but would like to make sure I get the best components. I am technically not very well informed. Please explain to me which one's components is the best and why? http://www.silverbacklab.com/2011/ventura.jpg http://www.khsbicycles.com/04_alite_2000l_10.htm
  21. I am in Springs.
  22. Ok. I need your opinion in a new price range. What mountain bike for the price range between R7000 - 8000.
  23. Yes he would because he is buying 2, one for me and one for him.
  24. Since I have 3 hobbies and I must prioritise.
