  1. http://www.crankbrothers.com/templates/images/wheels_product_back.jpg what guys think of these do-nuts... I-9 vs Mr King vs Cobalts....who would be the winner??
  2. I think Crow should go into marketing for I-9... And they sound so nice too
  3. Crow, what these puppies go for around here?
  4. Now that is awesome....Not sure about the chair though BOS1000, that's a sweet build you mentioned, would have to stick to ali myself... it bends first
  5. MAN, those guys are a thing of beauty. And that shelf of multi-coloured goodies..... LET ME AT 'EM, LET ME AT 'EM!!!!!
  6. Pretty much what I thought....as they say in the classics - EISH Shot for the advice guys, see you on the trails
  7. Did i mention the current hub is a straight pull....oops
  8. So I was clever enough to buy a pair of Mavic Cross Ride wheels (on a budget here...) - based on good reviews (clearly on the wrong site ) and the fact that their rims are things of legend. So the rim is tip top, spokes all nice and pinging, and the rear hub is made of some french cheese and good dose of dog ****. Even with love, attention and regular servicing it still gives uphill... I am after a replacement hub that can take the 24 spoke lacing (yeah spoke length may be tricky) and HAS A SEAL TO THE FREEHUB!!!! Anyways, any advice will be appreciated - and a hub that fits, sounds good and does the work like the way a hub should would be GREAT Shot.
  9. Now who in there right mind wants to ride a tupperware down a rock infested hill without the sponsor in your back pocket. Ain't no way I am going to lash out 50k+ for a bike, take a tumble in Eden and have a brake lever crack my top tube (don't laugh, I have seen it happen to a grumpy friend and a 2 month old bike) Give me some SA Huwlett ali and a point me downhill and I am a happy camper..... HOWEVER, das MOJO she's sweeeeeet. And if I had to choose, a Yeti is so rare in SA (seen only 1x) amongst the run of the mill, it would get me hands down. Besides that Yeti blue has been around for years - an icon now!
  10. Nice one, thanks mate. Followed the link and you right on the money - turns out its an 06 fork, but i got the info. Cheers
  11. I own a pair of 2007 Manitou Minute 04 130mm travel forks. I am looking for an operating manual for them. They have a dual air ports (one on top of the stanchion and one below the opposite slider) and travel reducing system (same side as the lower air port). If anyone has usd a pair, owns a pair or knows the correct link (yes I searched the web site but they really only push the new stuff - or I'm blind ) to a manual I will be greatful. Cheers..........
  12. Hi I need help, which over sized MTB riser bars are considered the best used with a Thompson stem? I am aware the answers will be subjective.. I would like the Hubbers opinions Hi Newby0007 - as you can see the subjective takes over after a while....but simple truths remain: Aluminium generally bends!Carbon generally snaps!Alumnium generally can take the knocks better...Carbon bars are suppose to flex somewhat - therefore take out a bit of trail buzzAluminium bar will allow you to take the misses out to dinner afterwardsCarbon will reduce you to the "end of the month salticrac snack"And titanium is the considered the wonder metal so why not make a handle bar out of it.....Handlebars are a personal thing, i.e. its got to feel right not just look the muts nuts. There are so many brands out there, Raceface, Funn, Easton, Bontrager, Answer-and those are just the known brands. I ride ali 710 Raceface non-oversize on the full-suss and a no-name on the ss, neither have bust or bent, i have stacked plenty, and quite frankly they just let me hang on when my bike decides to steer.... Good out and get one that works for you mate, and don't forget to hang on!!!
  13. Drooooooooo- i'm in for the spin, management have been informed so let me know when boot!!! I want to see what these puppies do

  15. Looking sharp droo, good on ya mate! Have you decided on how many jimmy's, small gorilla's all these worthy customers are in for? Or are you planning to hand them out like sweets at a birthday party...
