  1. You may need to rob a bank with that budget..
  2. With CWC's doing day specials on the Hub and Evo providing such great service we can all be reassured that we will get decent pricing and decent service. Well done to both of them.
  3. Sorry to hear about this!! Horrible news! Hope you get it back ASAP! Is anyone using insurance? What kind of premiums? I know our lives are more important than riding - so giving them a bike in exchange for one more day with your family seems a no brainer..Sorry again!
  4. So far: 1. More water 2. No sups - by majority vote 3. Less carbs! -- going wrong here!! 4. Train 4 times in the week - i do 3.. I need to increase this. 5. No alcohol (or moderate intake) - i dont drink..thankfully.. 6. No choc for lunch..easy job i'll buy them for my wife instead Thanks all the contributors!
  5. Thank you!! It doesnt matter how you do the eggs? Poach, boil, scramble, fry? guess not fry due to the oil? Thanks again
  6. Care to elaborate on the "eat healthy" part? I stay away from fizzy drinks and junk food but still struggle with belly fat. I have monitored my portions closely the last two weeks and short of weighing them i think i am eating less than i was a month ago but i still cant shake off a gram!
  7. Hello All, Please share your thoughts on the following: Thermo Genic supplements (increase core temp to aid fat burn) Vs A diet that for the first while puts you in a calorie deficient to aid in fat reduction. Bare in mind that both options include a regular exercise at least twice a week, and no other supplements or snack replacements are taken. If anyone takes the various options on the market of Thermo genics i'd love some feedback. If you have suggestions on building lean muscle and losing fat i'd love to hear. Thanks
  8. ey...all good.. its called rate n rave for a reason.. I wish i could have a top of the range bike for less than a yrs salary.. its imperative that my narrow minded views are broadened by debate!
  9. in all defense i did say "(other than having the name printed on it -- ethics)" A replica frame is exactly that a replica frame..however the ethics of putting the same brand name on a replica is wrong i agree! Making a profit is what all business strive for, but my argument is how affordable should biking be for everyone? Why should bikes cost 100k and others 10k with the same mold and and and..? Anyway.. moving along. I hear you and just wish it was more affordable for me to ride a santa cruz with sram components..#notgonnahappen.
  10. Does that make them Proudly south african? What about the alu frames in their line up?
  11. Good thing i said i know of two off hand. I did ask "Anyone have this information at hand?".. If i knew anything about building bikes i would. But i think importing is what has made our debate worthwhile.
  12. Have a look online at bike suppliers in SA. None of them are ashamed to admit that the bikes are manufactured in the east. Be it China, Taiwan, or Kazakhstan.. labour there is dirt cheap, they get the benefit of having a company mass purchase material for them and import costs are insignificant when comparing manufacturing in SA..China=no strikes for higher wages..no loss of production..
  13. I will echo this sentiment. HOw many frames are actually fabricated in SA?? i know two off hand that are proudly south african assemblies and no more.. Anyone have this information at hand?
