  1. Thanks
  2. On almost all rides there is a bit of oil that 'escapes' between the stanchion and seals of my fork. I have a Reba Race, but my mate with a Fox fork has the same issue. Is this something to be concerned about? Even though the amount of oil is small, over time the source will run dry...right?
  3. Got my new forks this morning Pretty excited about getting them on the bike. Has nayone got any advice or things I should know before the install?
  4. Question: Is R7k a good price for a GT i-drive 4 alu frame with Fox RP23? Brand New.
  5. They took a bit of getting used to, but they're really fast (compared to the Kenda Nevegals I had before)I want to try Mountain Kings, have heard good things about them.
  6. Depends on the tyre, I guess. Michelin XCR Drys for example specify that they are installed 'opposite' for front and rear, thus giving a slightly different pattern and bite level front and rear.
  7. Great bike just a bit heavy.
  8. Thanks for the great feedback, I have some other options to explore now Who's the agent for Yeti in SA or a Gauteng shop that has them?
  9. TituTi - you seem to know a bit about 29er's - Read good things about a Gary Fisher HiFi, your thoughts?
  10. Okay so far looks like a race between the Anthem and the Spark. Both light, both fast.... Spez still in there with a shout (Epic or Stumpy???) and the Yeti seems to have wandered off looking for Bear Grilz http://www.weeklyworldnews.com/celebs/bear-grylls-injury-from-yeti-fight/

    Degreasing

Just leave out the power washer because you WILL force water into the seals of the Headset, BB, wheelbearings, freewheel and pedals, and eventually wash the grease out there as well. Never ever ever ever wash your bike with high pressure....... and do not tune me now that you do not spray in these areas....... that is bulldust and you know it!!!!!!!!!! Don't spray in those areas
  12. http://www.specialized.com/bc/SBCBkModel.jsp?spid=39189&eid=95 How tall are you? If you're tall enough a 29'er would offer significant benefits' date=' and it opens up a whole range of other bikes other than the standard tupperware factory bikes.[/quote'] I am 6'2. What other bikes? I like the 29er concept, never ridden one but read good things.

  16. < ="-" ="text/; =utf-8">< name="ProgId" ="Word.">< name="Generator" ="Microsoft Word 12">< name="Originator" ="Microsoft Word 12"><> Decisions, Decisions..... So I have come to point where a significant upgrade is needed (not wanted...needed, you know the feeling ) The problem is that there are sooo many great bikes around (XC/Trail/Marathon) and I missed out on the test day at the end of last year, so I hope all the wise Hubbers can give me a little guidance. In the end this is a personal choice based on fit and feel, riding style etc.. but I'll trust the collective might help (or confuse me...hmmmm) I have narrowed it down to a few and would appreciate any other input before I go try arrange test rides all over the place. THE CONTENDERS: In no particular order - Scott Spark 30, Giant Anthem X1, Spez Stumpy Expert (29er?), Yeti ASR Enduro Thanking you in advance
