  1. The oil is on both sides - and the same amount as well. The photo only shows the one side - but they look the same. I've wiped it clean yesterday, and did a ride again this morning - same thing... The bike has been standing up-right against a wall.
  2. Hi, I have a brand new 2009 Rock Shox Reba Race. After only 50km, the seals seems to be leaking oil, on both sides. I've attached a pic at the below link (the hub does not allow picture uploads at present). Can anyone tell me if this is normal ? I don't think it is... http://img102.imageshack.us/my.php?image=shockoilmu7.jpg
  3. and they are normally overpriced also...
  4. Hi I have a question on Fox Forx. I've read a few reviews on Terralogic - varying from very good to very poor. Fox vs Rockshox - probably a loaded question - but is Fox worth the price ? bombs away....
  5. Thanks for all the feedback. I took it to the bike shop this morning - and they said the same thing about the Amonia. Technically I can accept it making sense - however - it defeats a bit the purpose of a tubeless tire, as to me one of the main advantages of going tubeless is you can fit a whole bottle of stans in there Never the less - I went for a Conti (cannot remember which one) In general - What is the concensus on using a non-tubeless tire as a tubeless ?
  6. Hi, (white flag waving...) Amidst the Ondjiva-like heat... I'm still wondering if someone can answer my question, (which now have taken a back-seat to the ethical and moral) - how long does it take for components ordered from CRC to reach Cape Town ?
  7. snap for sure !
  8. Thanks for the reply - I was planning on trying the same with my LBS
  9. Hi I have a Shim 105 too - the front derailleur has what's referred to as Trim. It's an intermediate setting between the two blades. If you want to gear up - you can either push twice, or give it one longer push. Gearing down it skips the trim. When you are on the small blade in the front (which is on the left of the bigger blade), and you go to the smaller gears on the back (which are on the right side of the cluster), the chain starts rubbing agains the front derailleur. This is where you use the Trim - to move the front derailleur slightly to the right, so that it stops rubbing against the chain, without chaning to the bigger blade. Nor sure if I'm making sense - also not sure if it answers your question - but I think that's what's happening. Cheers
  10. Another question - what is the typical shipping time for goods (relatively small - crank set, set of wheels) to reach Cape Town ?
  11. Nope - the bubbles are all over the tyre - they don't seem to be aligned with the spokes. They are also only on the one side. They feel like trapped air pockets - it's like it has air between the "tyre casing" and the "tread". I think that also explains why the bubbles remain even if the tyre is flat
  12. Great - thanks for the response
  13. Hi, I have a Cross Mark LUST tubeless at the rear, it's about 9 months old. I saw for the first time today it has "bubbles" - see the pics below. I just came back from a ride - and one of the bubbles punctured. The funny thing - even with the tyre deflated - the bubbles are still there... The pics below were taken with a flat tyre. Has anyone seen something similar ? Cheers Black_Jack2009-01-03 12:34:57
  14. Are duties payable on all items or only shoes ? I want to buy a crank set from CRC - does that mean I need to add 35% on top too ? Cheers Black_Jack2009-01-03 12:29:04
