  1. Thanks guys for all the well wishes! Luckily I could get up, wash my face and continue, albeit with a massive headache.
  2. Haha. Just checking if the bike is ok, forgot that the camera was on.
  3. Yes one can only learn from these type of mistakes. The worst is that it is not my first time riding this trail.
  4. This sums it up 100%. Exactly what happened.
  5. Those are winter cycling boots. He comes from a much colder climate.
  6. OK cool thanks. I will give it a try and see how it compares. The first ride felt a bit weird TBH, but I had another ride this morning and it was fun! I can really see how a SS can build strength as well as teach one more about riding technique in general. Not always blasting away in top gear. Don't worry, I have friends who are throwing all sorts of "Steel is Real", etc. remarks around. I am sure there will be a lot of experimenting in the future. Cheers!
  7. Thanks for the feedback. I know, still need to shorten the hoses, but I was so amped to ride that I didn't get to it before taking the pic. Even left the ziptie on the fork where the front brake hose goes. What would be the reason for getting the tensioner closer to the chainstay? Thanks

Thanks to fellow hubbers @letsride for the brakes and @jhcorbett for the crank!
  9. Same here.... I have never wanted to ride this much! Welcome to the club!
  10. Sure it wasn't this one..????? Hehehehehehe :-)
  11. When I bought mine I did ask Richard if I could get a custom paint job. He said that he would check as the new matt colours could make it difficult. In the end we never discussed it again so I ended up getting the standard black Zula 27.5
