  1. Super friendly people in that shop. Simon who has joined them recently is a walking encyclopedia on bikes. You want to experiance great service, chat to that dude!
  2. I got ours working perfectly, fitting to a variety of frames. Firstly, I whipped the little battery out of the pouch and using one of man's best inventions, "an old mtb tube" I cut off a length and slid it over the battery which acts as a rubber sheath. Pinching off the ends using a small cable tie thus waterproofing it, you then pop it back into its bag.(A bit fiddly to get in) Now when you open the bags flap fully and fit the battery underneath your TT, it doesn't scratch the frame or move around. And lastly, more of a precautionary measure, I cut a length of tube and tie it around the TT and then stretch it over the battery pack keeping everything snug. It's neat, light weight and cheap!
  3. We are in, team 2274: SILENCE I KILL YOU. It took just over 2 hours of non stop entry work... Need a GU.
  4. Hi, my name is Anton. I am using Chris' (Flying Ibis) hub connections to hopefully join up with an existing Trans Baviaans team. Entries closed earlier than expected & my partner, Flying Ibis, had to pull out for personal reasons. I have done way to much training not to participate in this race & even dropped the big bucks for a sweet dual sus bike. Personal specs: * I am 50 years old * I live in Hankey (close to BKloof) & have a company in PE. I often ride home (65kms) as my weekly training * Over weekends I've been training in the BKloof & surrounding mtn ranges * I am new to mtb'ing & totally hooked!! * I have run 10 comrades - so am not too bad with endurance * I weigh 78kgs (thought I would just put that out there) * I am easy going with a great sense of humour & don't get grumpy when the going gets tough! I'm more than happy to fit into an existing teams race plan i.e. pace, rest stops, food plan etc. & follow the team leader. So, if you see a way to take on a total stranger into your team - please give me a call on 082 654 0979 Kind regards, Anton
  5. Bro.... not sure what to say, bugger. That about sums it up. I think my Ibis would either run from it or try and mate it.
