  1. I saw on the event's website, it says you can contact them for the GPX files. Here is the link to the site's contact's page: https://erau64.wixsite.com/cederberg100miler/contact
  2. Getting closer. Same nervous exitement as previous years. The new 160km route adds a new dimension, but the organizers never disappoint. Love this event.
  3. I am currently lazy, unfit and overweight. Yet this is my favorite race of the year, and I wouldn't miss it for anything.
  4. I have ridden many of the trails. The superb single track and that feeling of being a 1,000 miles away from the city can only be experienced in Wellington. There is a reason the that the Cape Epic is a regular visitor to Wellington. Karl Plat often refers to Wellington as favorite trails. The climbing is well worth it. If you haven't been there is a while, you will be surprised at the amount of new trails. The new trails is especially awesome.

  6. Olympic shoes. South Arican owned brand so after sales support is awesome. Best value for money. I have a pair of Olympic Tread that sells for R1,500 at CWCYCLES.co.za. They last forever, almost too long, and hold candle to some brands that sell for double the price. Do yourself a favour, get a pair. I never looked back and will never buy anything else again. PS: I read an article that said they are designed to be a bit wider, as the average SA man's feet is not as narrow as the Europeans.
  7. 10/10! PS: For the guys doing the Trek there was even a free beer stop.
  8. Rode pass you in your last 5km. Felt like a dog not being able to help. At such a tough race, even if everything goes well you tend to lose your sense of humor at bit. Well done for not giving up. Most people would have pulled the plug in your situation. Ditto for the commitment to go back in 2019. Personally, the longer races doesn't suite me, but there is something special about this one. I'll be back for more torture, but it is definitely worth it.
  9. Extremely tough race with awesome route. Superbly organized. Everything from great goodybags, waterpoints in the right places to a personal touch. #IWillBeBack, #GeyMyFriendsToDoThis race.
  10. Awesome event. The 2 day track is obviously easier, but nothing beats that feeling when you managed to do the 160km in one day. Yes it is tough, but it is all gravel roads. I am a very average cyclist that struggle with cramps, but it will be my 4th time doing this event. Just pace yourself. The organisers really go out of their way to make the race worth your while. They can double the entry and I will still do it. Just remember with 3K climbing you also get lots of down hills. Very doable and a must do.
  11. I only want to go 11x40, so that should be sufficient for my needs.
  12. TX traveler. Much appreciated. I will give it a go then.
  13. Awesome! TX. Forgot to mention that I saw some forums claim compatibility as is. May I ask what brand cassette you bought? I am looking at the Sunrace MX3.
  14. I am trying to determine what I need to do to make the above configuration work. The bike has a full XX groupset (38x26 front, 11x36 back). I am looking at buying a 11x40 cassette. Some forums say it is not compatible, others say you just need a longer B Screw. For Shimano you get a goatlink, but you don't seem to get something similar for Sram.
