  1. Not sure about the road bike, but been riding the Hardtail MTB for a year now and fantastic piece of equipment. They know what they are doing. I also purchased a set up up-scaled carbon wheels which I use for all races. I used them today as well and they handled the wind conditions very well. I love the way they make the ride so much smoother on our rough roads.
  2. My Hongfu wheels were built to spec with extras as I requested.
  3. I got the Hong-fu ultra light. Very nice.
  4. Here are the pictures of my Hongfu UAM wide clincher wheels with CHOSEN hubs and CX-Ray spokes. Fitted them now with SCHWALBE ULTREMO R1 tyres. Looking forward to using them for my next race. Much narrower than the Specialised 25mm I was using in the past so will be a different ride quality I am sure.
  5. I have the Hong-Fu UAM range of wide rims. I got the 56 back, 40 fron and find them absolutely fantastic. Using the Specialised 25mm tyres which feel very good, low rolling resistance and very comfortable ride.
  6. My FM196 has finally been assembled and ready to take her for a ride today.
  7. I went for the Hongfu UAM Aero wheels 56mm rear, 40mm front, with all the bells and whistles pertaining to Chosen hubs and CX-Ray spokes so landed at about R8000 including the price for tyres and tubes purchased locally, as I mentioned previously they ride great and the Turbos go onto the rims quite easily.
  8. Morning Ride 67km in 10 -15kmh wind conditions. Wheels felt great with no buffeting. They felt slightly stiffer than my Shamal's and climbed well, even though slightly heavier. The main difference I found was that they handled the road surface better with a softer feel over the bumps. Same tyres on both, and kept the inflation to about 110Psi. I felt that I had a bit more power reserves at my disposal. Will keep updating as I go along.
  9. Will do so
  10. Talking about Wheels, cannot wait to try out my latest addition. UAM Carbon Clinchers 40mm front and 56mm rear. put on a pair of Specialised Turbo 25c tyres, same as what i am running on my Shamal Ultra wheels. They went on very easy. Will be interesting to see how they roll, taking into consideration the wide rim profile. Very excited and will give an update as soon as I put in a long ride this weekend.
  11. Talking about wheels, just got my set of carbons from UAM/Hongfu, cannot wait to put some KM's on them this weekend. Put Specialised Turbo 25c tires on which look great, and were easy to get on to the rims.
  12. I like the build, Meezo you prefer the 1x10 I see? My frames hopefully arriving tomorrow in my container. Will take pics when I get them. Really looking forward to riding my UAM/Hongfu carbon road wheels, just need to find a 11spd Campi Casette.
  13. My Hongfu FM196's arrive next week and cannot wait to start playing.
  14. All of these suck!
