  1. Andrew on one of his missions to destroy another succesful club/team as it is hindering his sponsorhip deals, so he has to divert attention from himself.
  2. No we talking about bikes and rands
  3. Like I said in another post more surprises on the way, interesting things coming soon.
  4. Big H will remain a Krugersdorp boytjie who hates anything not white, yet he loves eyeing all the Africans hence his need to stay in the doldrums of Africa lusting after their women much as his forefathers did. Camps Bay lazy couch at Nando's on mon/Wed. Tues /Thurs and Sun at Caprice where no cyclist's actually bother to show up with helmets on. Colonel small rumour your other sport might get some moola from MTN.
  5. Past week-end lazing at Camps Bay when I overheard some dude mention that they advised Ian and MTN to appeal his sentence and they will make it go away as the sport needed MTN now more than ever as they stood to lose 47 events if MTN pulled the plug let alone the professional set-up Doug runs to the tune of R60million over 5 years from MTN. By the way this dude is in talks with MTN to help CSA financially as well. Makes you think
  6. Well where are those with the flaming rockets now Big H, jmaccelari and co. By the way there seven more names coming to the fore shortly, Nolan you are not alone the peleton is shaking rattling and rolling. The PTA connection will soon hand over it's black book as it has done in athletics, so if you were a visitor to him start getting your story ready. Sad day for Doug let us hope he does not lose the sponsorship's he has in place.
  7. I am sure if Noaln rode for the team of said rider he would have been protected as well nothing to do with RACE at all. Some riders more lucky than others. Why must race be brought in when we dealing with dopers.
  8. Well I suppose the ramifications for CSA and the sport of cycling in good old SA is worth the cover-up because of the financial involvement of the sponsor is what keeping cycling on the go at the moment. Nolan you were hard done by and this just proves once again the sport is. for a select few only. if it aint working we will make it work. Kent you were spot on with your earlier posts. Hendrik take the fly off the wall you will not hear the truth on this.
  9. Strange the drug used is not available in SA so how does the excemption come about?
  10. WHY NO PUBLICATION WHAT'S WITH THE COVER-UP. NOLAN HAD TO TAKE IT WHY NOT THIS DUDE IF HE AS FOUND GUILTY OH I SEE THE OMPLICATIONS TO CYCLING IS TO GREAT FORTHIS TO BECOME PUBLIC. HENDRIK SPILL THE BEANS YOUR FLY SITTING ON THE WALL TO LONG
  11. Hope you not the Michael that used EPO
  12. Sean/Intern is this the cycling version of "Reach for a dream " well done lads maybe get a column going called -"meet and greet" in you mag. Amoryn good on you for the thought
  13. Repeat offender I wonder if CSA will chuck him out of the sport,, don't think so him being a Capie
  14. May I ask : Has any official inquiry been done into this matter, do we know the result thereof. I noted a few days ago the question was raised about there not been POC in the junior squad and found it most strange that non of the officials responded positively or made it clear that the current crop of riders simply do not have what it takes in the kiddies and junior levels. To quote James Louter at the HNT sometime last year "Stop wanting and do things for yourself, nobody is interested in what you want done. this was said in the precense of the V/P of CGC. One wonders why cycling(Track specific) is not prepared to open the doors to other persons
  15. well done, now ensure that there is follow up and a speedy conclusion brought to this- none of the bodies must sit back and wait for the other to do something. Hope your son recovers soon.
  16. Amazing how everyone jumps up and down almost on a weekly basis down down in the Cape. Simple question who has the balls to report the matter officially to PPA/WPC and refer to CSA. WHen we enter races we underatke cetain conditions whih most of us don't bother reading. Blame has been spat in the Ascics riders directions many a time (right or wrong). Nobody seems to be driving an effort to EDUCATE these youngsters on bike skills. Now I once again ask WHAT IS THE TRANS/DEV WING of PPA/WPC and CSA doing to eradicate this issue. Are we waiting for a fatality first. The finances for this exercise MUST come from the Lotto funds allocated to CSA so don't use any excuse "we don't have funds" Window dressing of this nature must END and a proper job done to educate the riders . A challenge to the Guateng bunch who complain about their asses been damaged by the so called development bunch come and name and shame the clubs/ riders because I for one have many a pic where there is NO POC near a crash scene so it is news to hear these blighters are the cause as well. I don't believe Gary/George squad can be that bad and the Medscheme dudes rides way down in E bunch with the exception of two in either Elite/A depended where the race org seed them. Help your province educate your weaker riders for your own sake.
  17. Why do the same guys complain about the licensing instead of taking action, simply organzise all your fellow cyclists who are feeling the same to boycott the races until you achieve your goals or simply shut up and pay as all your moans are not actioned by CSA or the club organizers.

    Stolen cars

How interesting reading the different views on car guards etc. Some questions: How many cars stolen from secure parking areas in shopping malls companies etc , do you get compensated from them - NO Last year some thieves were caught stealing cars from a well secured underground parking lot with a paypoint at the entrance and it turned out to be off duty guards working on the site. Still no payment from the parking franchise or shopping complex owners as they have the small print on the ticket clearly clearing them from such acts. So where and when do you win with your vehicle parked at a public venue. NO matter what event is held at NASREC there is always cars stolen, what do you expect of a guard who us faced with a firearm pointed in his/her direction. The assumption that the cars guard are always in with the thieves are not always correct some try to make it work others simply don't give a damn as they get a R100-00 note slipped to turn a blind eye. At the Soweto marathon in November a prominant doctor had his car stolen from the parking lot at the police station, what do you make of that.
  19. Now WW is a lady who has a passion for bicycle and still mixes with the best, one wonders why? btw Denise you and PAuline doing the Panorama again this year( Pauline make sure there is no chain problems before you leave home)
  20. Would this help the ladies: 1: Ability seeding for all the ladies from senior to master in one bunch and payment for the top ten only, however the average over the race distance must be met by at least 7 out of the ten finishers EG( 100km race with an average of say 36kmph) There should be no classification of who is pro or not as the ladies want to be paid so they should perform for the payment. Now please don't cry like the lady runners are doing and complain that so and so should give the young ones a chance to make some bucks. Typical example of Sonja Laxton running the hell out of the younger ladies which ASA then so fit to introduce categories and when Sonja still swept the boards ASA the restricted the winning to specific age categories hence this has weakened the lady racing to such an extent wecannot even remember when last a SA lady won comrades or Two Oceans. Sure Shaun can comment on this. Ladies please up you game and gain the respect of the race organizers to take notice of your achievements and justly reward you then.It is going to be interesting watching our ladies compete this year and seeing what tactics they play out with all the movements and changes within the ladies ranks.MTN Nashua and DCM knocking one another around, can Taylorchick maintain her performance after she has found a new toy in Burry or will Chrissie want to end her career on a high after she proved her worth for MTN last season, what about the other ladies in the camp then you have the bunnies mixed with the ice maiden at Nashua who will through a spanner in the works every now and then with Andriette teaching Jo and Ann-li some tricks of the trade whilst the DCM crowd will be going all out to repay Andrew for his loyaltiy to their squad, Lynette is surely going to kick some butt this year and then don't discount the fact that the magical Cherry might be making a comeback to teach old and new a thing or two. Ladies take your places and show us what you made off, good luck for the 2009 season.
