  3. Thanks for your advice guys The bikes are pretty much stock, They're still in great condition, some minimal scratches from storage ect, but otherwise very good. Will post some pics once I get them back from the service.
  4. Hey Guys My eye sight's failing, haven't ridden my bikes in years - just collecting dust. I'm considering selling my bikes, but I have no idea what they're worth. Please could a couple of guys chime in with some realistic values. Both bikes have just been serviced, both are in excellent condition, used them for mainly beachfront driving. I estimate about 200-300kms done on each of them. 2014 GT Karakoram Sport- 29", Medium frame. 2014 Merida 29er TFS300 - XL frame.
  5. Hey Guys I'm selling Fiorenzato F64 espresso grinder (Forenzato F64 E XGR). I used use 2 grinders (One for decaf and one for regular) but am solely using decaf now, so no use for 2 grinders anymore. PM me for more info
  6. Nice - where can I get one of these?
  7. Hey Guys I'm selling a Baratza Sette 270 grinder It hasn't seen much use (Was used as my 2nd grinder most of the time) Still have the original box Looking for R6k inc shipping
  8. Prices vary from about R70 - R100 per kg for most varies But can go up to R170 for some specialty varieties.
  9. I've found a couple of places online that are willing to sell green beans Can by per kg or even a 60kg bag
  10. Anyone selling a small coffee roaster? I'm going through about 1kg worth of beans a week and want to try roasting my own
  11. Long shot - but is anyone selling any good 2nd hand espresso grinders? I'm talking somewhere in the region of R5k-R10k depending on make / model age ect. My Baratza Sette 270 stripped some gears so considering an upgrade while I wait for spare parts.
  12. Hi Guys After yesterdays discussion on the size of bike I need, the general consensus was that I should rarther go for a XL size bike. I wouldn't mind buying second hand, but as XL size bikes are very rare (Espesically in KZN) I might as well just buy a new bike. My Budget is about R6k - 8K. I realise that's not much, but what would you guys recommend? Locally I can get the following: GT Karakoram Sport - 29" - R5 700 Merida Big 9 100 - 29" - R7 700 Mongoose Meteor- 26" - R7 500
  13. Alternatively - this Mongoose is also a option
  14. Thanks for the reply guys. I'm then looking for a alternative Will probably have to buy new - XL bikes are like like hens teeth. Should I start a new thread?
  15. Damnit - that's not what I wanted to hear guys! O well, at least buy a new XL I can go 29" Which entry level 29" would you guys recommend? I can get either a GT Karakurum Sport - 29" for R5 700, or a Merida Big 9 100 29" for R7 700
  16. Thanks for the reply guys Is still still worth going for a 26" bike? My alternative is a new 29" entrylevel GT Karakuram sport Compared to the Morewood that has a some really nice kit
  17. Hi Guys I've just started MTB'ing and am in the process of buying my first bike. I've found a good deal for a second hand Morewood Kwela 26er with some good components. The frame is supposed to be a "large" with a size of 490mm from the centre of the BB to the start of the seat clamp, and 580mm from the centre of the seat post to the center of the headset. I'm 1.91m tall with a inseam of 89cm I've heard varying opions, the salesman at my LBS insists it'll be too small for me, but other guys have told me it should be fine. What do you guys think?
