  1. Not sure if anyone has seen the defacing of the top root section along the soccer field at Emmerentia dam? The roots at the 'used to be' great technical root section, have been removed to make the path easier to ride. Can anyone confirm why this was done? That section was a very cool little technical bit and good for training. Really gutted that they are gone.
  2. Bunch of losers. As you said, u get good folk and bad ones to ruin it for the rest. Not worth it Happy M!
  3. Hi All Sorry to drop a post here but not going to do the race this year, have done it in the past, and need to sell my ticket if there are any keen or CRAZY buddies of your waiting to do it, please PM me.. thanks and ALL THE BEST! This race is a BEAST to say the least. With regard to single ring.. I think 2 would be better... as heel drop mentioned Rooiberg is a tough one! SO MANY HILLS!!!!
  4. Will u be flying down? Can't u get a bike bag and pack them in there? Otherwise rent a trailer with a bike rack.
  5. I would recommend getting a change of shorts for half way mark
  6. taking a chance on this question, but is there any possibility to open up Heia Safari trails for a night ride this weekend? We are desperately looking for somewhere to train the night through, but worried about riding in a public area at night. We are training for a 36 hour ride and need to put in hours at night as well as practice with our lights.
  7. Is anyone in the Gauteng area doing a night training ride this weekend? My boyfriend and I are interested in going though the night, but worried about just 2 of us on the JHB roads....
  8. Hey How many people were you? We are looking at doing a night ride this weekend, also doing the 36one, but a tad nervous riding anywhere in JHB at night. Just 2 of us...
  9. Will be exciting to see your performance this year on that beast JP! Good luck to us all and best of luck to you to hold up the title again see u in the Karoo
  10. Try doing Bikram Yoga once a week in between your bike training
  11. Thanks for the PAWSOME article Undun! I was one of the fortunate volunteers who took part on the day at Etwatwa and I must say, between all the madness and sad little faces and doggies, there were little miracles being made, animals helped and young children from the township educated. What Alps does is out of the ordinary and if there are any Hubbers that would like to donate or help or do anything to assist, please check the contact details on Undun's post
