I am very new to cycling and it is my intention to do the Argus 2015 but would like to build up to this by doing various races before then as I wouldn't want to be a danger to fellow racers. I have checked various cycling website and it seems not much races after Argus 2014, this is understandable as Cape winters will be on us soon. Does anyone know of upcoming races in near future in and around Cape Town? I would like to start small maybe 40 / 50km and build from there. OH - also looking for fellow cyclist from Belhar / Bellville area to start group rides but keep in mind I am a newbie.

Thank you for opening my eyes. My son and I are new to cycling and at times (when safe) I also went over red light and especially going left on a red light. I will now no longer do this because I now realize that by actions my son will grow up thinking breaking this rule is acceptable. As cyclist and road users we must accept ALL the rules of the road and we cannot choose to accept or reject rules as we see fit.
