You needn't worry about the timing issue. We had a lot of response from riders who wanted the race timed so it's always a challenge to please everyone. The event was actually "timed" last year as well - we had a GC on Strava. However, when I started this thing last year I was adament to create a truly unique event which includes a unique trail, features and relaxed vibe. We will not budge on that. The "fun zones" are MUCH more this year. Lots more sponsor activations, lucky draws, prizes, wine tastings, etc. I actually expect only a handful of people will race it. The event lends itself to a great weekend of cycling festival.

I have very wide feet and finding the right shoe with width at the front (as apposed to high volume shoes) a huge problem. Lake and Bont are hard to come by. What other brands can you suggest? Mountain bike.

Specialized or S-Works Epic. There is a big difference. The other big thing is frame size. Large most popular, other sizes has less retail value. Post pic of bike.

I have a good set of Fulcrum Red Metal XL's with brand new Bontrager XR 3 tyre at front (it has done 40kms). and Specialized at back, as good as new. You can have the whole lot for R4,500. I am putting Rovals on my training bike as well. Fulcrum good wheelset, but I love Roval albeit quite expensive.

How does this tyre compare to Racing Ralph or Ikkon? I have never used them. Your opinion?

For K2C riders travelling to Uniondale from Cape Town - which road is best? I believe there are roadworks in Ashton/Montagu area?

I am a W2W novice. What can we expect from each day's trails? For instance, how much single track on each day? Which one of the 3 races will have more of a social feel?

Does this weight fall within UCI regulations?

Can anyone recommend this race? From photos I have seen, it looks like a pretty muddy affair, or am I mistaken? Lots of single track?
