  1. Yes! On passing it I saw (from the side of my eye) a flat head, then round, then flat head?and I was just thinking?ooooo keep your line snake, just keep your line! Ek wil nie noual bokveld toe gaan nie.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Then I tried to warn my partner (behind me) but all of a sudden I was like a fish out of water, only blowing air bubbles ? as I could NOT get a single word out of my mouth! Then as always after a snake encounter my partner had to hear the same line??ek wil NOU kar toe gaan?ek wil nie meer hier ry nie?ek wil huis toe gaan??like a toddler with heavy puffed up cheeks!
  2. Even though I ?hate? snakes I must admit that at 10 cm?s spidy?s this little fellow is very cute! I sincerely hope he was not injured by the cars?<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> On Saturday my one foot was like in 30 cm?s away from a ?borrie geel? cape cobra at koeberg. He was super scared and I have no pics to proof it.
  3. nO, it was taken in Tokai! Can you believe it. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Yes, Knysna routes are the best. When oh when will we be able to buy oakleys with build in digital cameras?! The technology development is just tooo slow for me. Just imagine the pic your bud could have taken of them buck eating big cat!
  4. Screw the snakes. You need to be on da look out for them elephants! <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
  5. This 'thing' they jump off from (I don't know the downhiller lingo for it) is like 2 meters tall! Even the chicken run looks rough to me. This shot shows what the area looks like where these guys need to land. There is quite a drop which the camera just can't capture - under the wheel. This guy (above): it was his very first jump off this 'device' and he aced it! Think he is Shaun Thomlinsin or something(spelling!) Well done dude. I guess next weekend this spot (in Jonkershoek, Stellenbosch) will be totally over crowded...during the various runs. Had to compress these pics from 3meg to 30kb, so pics don't look soo hot here.carbon:gal2009-01-06 15:08:26
  6. A factory reset? wow, isn?t that a bit hardcore?! <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I am like in not going to enter all my data and setting again for all my bikes and all my likes and dislikes. This sucks. Can?t I fit it to a drill and hit the reverse button? Hi nameless man. I do this reset totals once every month and it does not affect my odo. It stays the same... ?Mr Figg? could not conclusively answer this question at the argus expo earlier this year.
  7. Excellent! <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Isn?t that what another dude did the other weekend when he saw mr puffed up adder next to him in tokai? Found the reverse gear on his bike and that it was indeed a super fast gear as well!! In jonkers I once did a bunny hop backwards (with my hands on my saddle) and pushed the bike into the snake. And then ?Eve? told the snake what she thought of him..screwing up her single track rhythm? but how about that odo?.. carbon:gal2008-12-15 09:10:44
  8. Anyone out there perhaps know how one can clear the ODO of the polar CS600? <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> Why do I have this nasty gut feeling that one can?t clear / reset it? And if it should be true (which I hope it is not) why in the world would polar not want you to reset your odo? I need to start 2009 with 0 kms J
  9. Hey Rock I've tried but could not access your link at all...even with my password. Are your pics the same? Yes, oooo can't wait for Sunday's race!
  10. I?ve seen sooo many wanabe ?versions? of the 2009 epic. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I wonder?. would THIS be IT ? or yet another red herring? carbon:gal2008-06-18 00:53:45
  11. My partner and I did it the Sunday before last Sunday. It is one glorified loooong downhill single track with minimum climbing. Easy flowing, non technical. Don?t expect to find a ?tokai? or ?Jonkershoek canary? type single track experience out there (maybe in the future?). No it is, in my opinion, a track made for the BIG blade for an unadulterated full out sprint effort leading to super fast single track speed?. mega enjoyment!<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> I wonder, will those wooden bridges get green and slippery in a few years time? And those cows?ooooh?the one kept on checking me out?scary stuff. First do <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Lebanonon> red route. Then head to Thandi and finish off with Oak valley. If you have energy left quickly pop to the Groenlandberg mast and back. These venues are not linked. Thus a separate drive to each.
  12. Magic indeed! I find it very hard to concentrate on the single track there. The lower canary is littered with them and I can?t keep my eyes of them. Looking for a little kabouterjie! <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> This one taken the other night in Tokai. Bite marks by a porcupine (I am sure of it). It spit the bit out, probably did not taste as nice?
  13. Lower canary
Jy beter die regte ratte vir daardie klim he.
