@ popcorn_skollie I believe, tire choice is very much personal choice. There are some combination that want work, but over all ... there is not rely a bad tire on the market, as long as it is not misused according to there specification. The situation you describe, is maybe the point as the inner tread loses the contact and your outer (end) tread has to take the full grip????
This is why it is still not on the market? I would not run with "much" lesser pressure, than now. I run 1,8bar on Racing Ralph and would may drop to 1,5 and Nobby Nic with 1,7 bar and would may drop to 1,4. That should not give to much tire roll?

Maybe something like: Shimano SH-AM45 BMX/Downhill/All Mountain SPD. You can use it with or without cleats. Ask your LBS if he can order it for you, if he stocks shimano shoes?
