  1. Agreed Owen. I just wish CSA will listen to what the people say.
  2. I would not call it fun while racing on the bike but afterwards I can look back and say it was lekker :-) I have probably quit racing a million times but I am back on the bike again the next day... ha ha
  3. HA HA HA HA HA... We will see how far behind those MTN riders are in the races. Do yourself a favour and check the results of races and see how far behind they acually finish. I don't know how they got noticed.
  4. this is a free forum I can say what ever I want! i have contributed a lot to cycling in last 15 years what have you done
  5. Carpet, you are clearly not following the ladies racing. There are def enough to race in a bunch of thier own and the non pro ladies also get to mix it up with the pro's if they have the ability. Now, the teams are limited to 4-6 riders and the top amature riders have no way of been noticed by teams.
  6. I wonder what happens to all the money that CSA gets in???????? 50k a month salaries for the head honcho's...... long stay's in luxury hotels..... The cost of cycling has become worse than golf.... at least membership to a golf course gets you access to a well maintained course to play on. Cyclists get f--all
  7. Old Anriette will probably win everything. She is the only lady that can suck wheel properly. She has proved it several times in the Argus. Its a shame that ladies racing has come to a point where the ladies get discarded into the mens group. I am an avid follower or ladies cycling and really enjoy standing at the start line next to the pro ladies. At least I get to see them up close before they ride off into the distance :-(
  8. From what I have heard these rules and regulations were discussed and implemented unilaterally!
  9. Has anyone made head or tails of these new dumb ass road race regulations for 2011? I wish CSA (the Austin's) would rather take SA's top riders to live and train overseas so that they can improve from there and stop screwing with the local racing . Robbie, John-Lee, Daryl they did not pick up thier game to international level by racing in SA. No matter what Barry Austin says, these new regulations are not going to improve local racing. I have already heard about concerns of sponsors of the ladies pro teams, that they will not be getting any value for money anymore because the women will be lost in a mass of men, no TV coverage. Bye sponsors! These rules are mostly messing around race organisers. I wish the big national event organisers will tell CSA to p-off and race under UCI regulations. I am sure the Argus and 94.7 are going to do so. Lets hear some comments?
  10. firstly I am not a he and are not trying to get into any teams. I love cycling and am a fan of ladies pro cycling and its not nice to get treated like crap by people I look up too. The MTN ladies are always very nice and are very approachable, I always get a smile from them. But the Bizhub and Toyota people, ag nee. I was once chatting to one of the Toyota ladies and thier team "tjop" just interupted me and made as if I was not there. What a pig. They need to wake up, they win races but are not winning over the general public and I am not the only one who thinks that the Toyota team are all a bunch snobs. Also, in one race I was ridden off the road by the Toyota team car when I was being dropped. I am not a good cyclist but enjoy starting a race with the top ladies but don't like this sort of thing. Jenny must come back to SA to show the ladies here how to treat thier fellow riders and fans.
  11. Have you noticed what snobs the ladies pro teams are? Especially the Toyota chicks and the team manager is a real chop. He must think he is gods gift to cycling. If only they could be more like Malcolm n the boys. Very approachable and friendly. Come on drop that bitchy attitude.
  12. Alberto Cuntador... He proved it when he chased down Vino... thanks for coming... I am not a Lance fan but at least he was a great team leader and sportsman...
  13. How?s that!!! <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> South Africans spend their hard earned money at Alpha Pharm outlets across the country and they go and pay us back for our support by sponsoring a foreigner. WTF I don?t get why they did not rather invest in a South African riders future. Jenny who, she comes takes our prize money and buggers off back to Sweden. WHAM BAM thank you Alpha Pharm. She is taking away what could have been support for a local girl. Come on Alpha Pharm what are you doing?
